Well, at least it's your husband so there is a committment but.....I would still say no. Not to be a downer, but i'm divorced and there was a time when I thought it would be "forever."
I would suggest getting a tattoo that has sentimental value to the both of you. I have some friend who met in a casino so they both have dice on tattoos. Maybe you can pick a symbol or crest that you both like or has meaning to you.

That's completely up to you. You obviously care about each other deeply and are in a committed relationship if you guys are married. Usually I'd try to steer clear of tattooing names of boyfriends/fiances/husbands on you... but that's your call. If you two feel like it's the right choice, then I say go for it.

Maybe another option for you is to tattoo something that means something to the both of you. Perhaps a certain quote, or something that symbolizes your love instead of his name.

Just an idea. Good luck! I hope it turns out great.

if you love him enough to put his mark of ownership on your body then by all means do it. It is your decision....

I would show the love another way.. Incorporate the flowers from your wedding into a tattoo, or the date with a cherib.. but I do not recommend putting a name other than blood family on your body because spouses and boy/girl friends are not permanent. As much as we like them to be, sometimes even after 18 years a marriage can fizzle. I have seen it before. You don't want to regret putting his name on your body later in life.

There is no right or wrong - more like wise or not wise. The fact that you are asking means you are unsure which means you should absolutely not do it.
I've been married 20 years but I still would never tattoo any name, let alone my husband's name, on my body.
Divorce aside, not to sound morbid, but what if something horribly tragic happened and later down the road you found another partner.....

I am getting a new tattoo in the near future. I am getting something that symbolizes my being Irish. I decided that I wanted to add something to also symbolize my relationship with my boyfriend...BUT knowing that things happen in life that you just can't plan I decided I'm not using his name. I am putting the words LUVIN LIFE in my tattoo that symbolize him but if something happens and we are no longer together all it will mean is that I was and still am loving life. Now my first tattoo has my children's names on it. THAT will always be permanent in my life and on my body. THAT is a gaurantee.

It's your body, so it's totally up to you but I guess you're not too sure about it if you're asking the question. It's something you need to be 100% sure about. Personally, I wouldn't get a tattoo of my partners name. Maybe you could get something else to show your love for your husband. Flowers incoporated with a love heart or a symbol for love.

Marriage is forever. Might cause a bit of a problem if someday you find yourself married to another man and every time he looks at your backside your first husbands name is staring him in the face.

it's a personal choice, but i don't think should do that because you have to remember that you never know what can happen in your life. think a lot before, maybe you should have a tattoo of something that reminds you the love you have for him

do what you want to do... there is a 50% chance you two will be together forever... and if you're not i'm sure any future husband you have will LOVE the fact that you have another man's name tattooed on your body.

i think names are a mistake but lots of people make lots of mistakes every day.
