... insist on coming in a tattoo questions section and try to tell people how "stupid" they are for getting a tattoo? If you don't like tattoos there is no point in trying to talk someone that is of age out of getting one because you tell them they might regret it in the future. There is no point to that. People that are set on getting one are going to get one, even if you tell them they are stupid.
I should know... my parents told me I was stupid, but guess what? I went ahead with it.

I got a tattoo yesterday and it was fine. But this morning it is a little sore and a bit redder than yesterday. I was just wondering if it was a normal side affect. Answers are appreciated.

This is a serious question so please only serious answers, there is a lot of pride and beer at risk here, among other things. My girlfriend and I are both shaven in the pubic hair area, we were out last night with some friends and this subject came up, turns out they are the same, so we had a bet between us on what percentige are like us shaven and what isnt. Also who shaves more men or women?

My best friend and I have been best friends for almost 12 years. We have decided to get matching tattoos but we're having a little trouble deciding what to get. We are both straight so we don't want people to think otherwise.

Every other answer on this board seems to revolve around being careful to get something that you can cover up, because you might not be able to get a job... Personally, I wouldn't want to work somewhere that is so repressive that I can't have visible tattoos! I would rather work at a record store for $7.00 / hr!

its been about 2 weeks its healed up and looks good . itches a little bit now and then i just keep putting lotion or a&d cream on it but it still has this dry rough feeling how long before that goes away and is that normal ?

I recently had three people very close to me pass away. I want to get a tattoo, symbolizing my remembrance for them, but because they were all so very different, I cant figure out how to do it in ONE tattoo. Does anyone know any symbols that mean "always remember" or any symbols for life? Any help would really be appreciated. I'm very open minded so if you have any ideas that you think would be helpful, feel free to send them. I'm looking for creativity as well, as I'm not big on tattoos because I feel they are all too alike now-a-days. Thanks for any ideas.

I am tired of going to answer peoples questions about tattoos and seeinging other people that don't have tattoos and don't like them making comments about how ugly they are and how you shouldn't get them. This section is for people who have tattoos or people who have questions about them, not people who want to bash them. So I just got my first Tattoo yesterday. The artist did great and gave us all the instructions on how to take care of it. The one thing he didn't tell me, and I forgot to ask is when can I shave over it? It's on my leg so I will have to shave someday.

Ok I got a dark blue tattoo 8 days ago. I practiced all the normal healing procedures such as a&d ointment and washing and all that. In the past 2 days it has begun to peel off where the tattoo was done. It WAS dark blue but now as it peels all the dark blue is peeling off and what is left underneath is much lighter than I wanted. Granted it has only been 8 days, will this lighter color go backto the original darkness of the finished tattoo? A friend told me it would get dark again and that what I was seeing was like when you have a scab that falls off and the new skin underneath is all light pink instead of normal (caucasian) flesh color. So will this lighter color get dark again....Do I need the entire tattoo to be done over again in a darker color...remember the color he used ws one shade away from being black.
