warm colors fade faster than cool colors. warm being red, pink, orange, yellow. Cool being green, blue, purple. In my personal opinion, purple ink hurts the least being put in.

i hav a few tattoos & i hav 2 say that all colours fade in time,i hav found with my tats that black & red fade the least, its probably cause there a darker colour.i just went back 4 a touck up 4 2 of my tats i got 8yrs ago, they werent that faded but the tattoo artist said u should get a touch up every 5 to 10 yrs if your in the sun alot, make sure u dont expose them 2 long in the sun,u need 2 put on extra sunscreen & putting on a good Moisturising Lotion every now & then doesnt hurt this will help keep them nice & fresh looking for yrs & u wont hav 2 touch them up as often. it may b a bit pricey doing the touch ups but there is nothin worse than a faded tat,im sure u hav seen the old timers that let them fade. if your going 2 get a tat then wear it with pride no matter how old u r,they r ment 2 b 4 life.just look around 4 the colours u like & dont rush in2 it.good luck with everything let me know what you want 2 get.hope this helps you.

The colors on tattoos will fade through normal wear and tear, and faster if you continually expose it to the sun. All colors should fade about the same rate. But the lighter colors will not be so sharp, and look as if they have faded more.

Yes, all in all all colors fade! Even the black over time! I can not tell you what exactly will fade the fasted! I am sure it depends on your skin tone! and how well you take care of the tattoo (keeping it out of the sun, and keeping good care of it) you can look at older people with tattoos and see that they have faded! but you can go back for retouches! to brighten them back up!

Yes they fade. As far as which fades more it depends on your skin, the type of ink, where the tat is at.

The color I see most people with fading problems is green. For some reason greens don't always stay the tend to have a high fade rate.
Blues and reds tend to last the longest in my experience.

all colours fade but how long before they do will depend on the colour, the quality of the ink and how well it was done. if you have it done at a reputable place then the colour will last a lot longer. from personal experience though i try to avoid colour and go for black ones instead as these fade the least. obviously the lighter the colour the easier its gonna fade. although usually places offer retouches where they can go over the colour to brighten them back up. also if you pick the scab whilst it is healing you can actually pull some of the colour out and so they will not look as bright for as long.

Yes they do fade that's why you have to make sure you get re-touches on the color. I guess the color that doesnt fade is black which turns into like a green color when its in your skin or maybe my skin since I'm dark.

Yes all colors fade, but the fastest are yoru brighter colors so if they fade to much you have to recolor them, and white fades a fast too.

in order to keep a tattoo looking great it is very important for you to chose an artist who is talented. then you need to care for it properly while healing as well as to keep it moisturized after it has healed. third you need to keep your tattoo out of the sun!! uv rays are harmful to your skin as well as the ink in your skin. and fourth you must take care of your body, the harder you are on yourself the worse your body will age and your tattoo will age poorly as well.

i met a woman at a tattoo convention that has a full body suit of tattoos and they all look amazing and she is in her fifties. i have a tattoo book at home and she is in the book as a young woman in her twenties and her tattoos all still look good because she takes care of herself and stays out of the sun.

good luck!
