not to be another yahoo answers a**hole or anything, but you shoudl realyl think this through. it shouldn't be about "whats cool" it should be about what you like and what you want. because (and this is such a typical answer its stupid but true.) in 30 years from now what was cool, isn't. and you shouldn't let other peoples opinions influence your tattoo. think about it, everybody thinks pumpkins are awsome tattoos right now, so even though your not a big fan you decide to get a pumpkin to be cool. 5 years later thats the dumbest thing you have ever done and you regret it. now on the otherhand, you think dragons are copletely awsome so you go get a tattoo. 5 years from you your not that into dragons anymore. same situation, although you won't regret it as much because its something you chose because of you not someone else, it also serves as a reminder of your past and lets you remember how you used to be, which can sometimes be a good laugh. but yea i think you should find something that means something to you not other people. and even then, i would wait 6 months to a year before getting it to make sure you still want it.

anybody that wants to get a tattoo to be cool is just not getting that tattoo for the right reason. the fact is that tattoos that are cool now aren't going to be cool in 10 years.

people who don't end up regretting their tattoos years later are the people who carefully consider what they are going to get. usually those tattoos have some sort of meaning to the person's live. all three of my tattoos have a very specific meaning to me and rleate directly to my life and i couldn't imagine not having them. BUT i have also had a few tattoos that i thought were cool at the time that turned out to be awful as i got older. i have since had those tattoos covered up.

just be careful in what you chose because it's a lot easier to get a tattoo than to have one removed.

If you don't already have a design in mind, maybe you should rethink getting a tattoo.I have a tattoo, and don't regret having one, but it is a lifelong decision. If your tattoo is going to be visible to everyone, it should display your personality or something important to you. Don't just hastily get a tattoo. I don't know you, so I don't feel qualified to tell you what to get. In my opinion, just be smart about it. Good luck and I hope you get something you are happy with!

If you're looking for "cool", look ELSEWHERE... because what's "cool" now is going to make you look REDICULOUS when you're 60 or 70 years old (provided you live that long).

Tattoo should be a statement about YOU. What makes YOU unique?

THAT is a good place to start.

i'll have to second the barbed wire armband- totally wicked. another good idea would be any tribal flash that the tattoo shop has on it's walls or it's books. maybe some japanese kanji too. you'll be soo unique.

If you have too ask that then your not ready for one, because they are a form of expression and you need to know what it is you want. Just wait until it comes to you look around and don't just jump the gun remember there very hard to get rid of.

my brother has a tattoo of our last name one
his chest in small letters
and a toxic sign on his shoulder
so that'd be cool or do like a portriat of
someone you care about on your arm
or i saw a guy who was getting a i think it
was somewhat of a dragon or the opsticals in his
life on his whole back then in the top corner he had
had them do a picture of his wife right before there
wedding day
