I want it right under my arm on my ribs. I'm worried about it not being able to heal because it'll be under my bra strap. Any thoughts?

it will likely be irritated for the first few days. whenever i get my back tattooed near my bra strap i put on a t-shirt first then my bra (not clasped) and then another shirt. that puts a barrier between your skin and the elastic tightness of the bra. if you can you should try not to wear a tight bra for the first three days or so.

hey i recently got a French quote about 7 inches long going down my ribs, about a month ago.2 of the lines are underneath my strap. It will heal fine. My advice is try not wearing a bra for a couple days after you get it done. So that it doesn't irritate the area. Mine healed really nicely and i think i started wearing a bra again after two or three days. Good Luck.

Itll heal but itll be sore and youll mess up ur bras because you need to put moisturizer on it many times a day. The ribs are also the most painful area to get tattooed. Wear tshirts or tank tops if you can without a bra for the first couple of days.

A tattoo on the ribs? It's just like a carving, nothing to heal. However the skin flap opened to expose your ribs will heal but leave a scar. Make sure the scar follows the bra line and when somebody asks about the scar, tell them you wear one size less.

It will heal but there is a possibility of pulling some of the color out of it until it is fully healed with your bra strab rubbing it. If you keep a good bandage over it and follow the directions of the ink slinger that does the work; you should be fine.

yes it will heal but i say dont wear a bra for about a week to 2 weeks so not to damage the tattoo(if its ur first good luck gettin it there)

yeah girl..i got a tat on my ribs..its really sore for like 3 days so i just wouldnt wear a bra lol its always better that way. but after a week youll be fine. PS it hurts like a *****

yes it will heal and just be ready I have an 18 inch by 8 inch rib piece and boy did it hurt let me tell you

You may have to put gauze or just not wear a bra for awhile. I am getting one from my armpit to my thigh and that's what my artist told me. Also, keep the tattoo dry when you get it done.
