There is a tattoo shop in my neighborhood offering free tattoos if you let their apprentice do it. I guess I would, but where would I have them put it incase this newbie screws up?

does anyone know of a good numbing cream you can get before you get tattoos?
my friend has two, and the first one she got the tattooist put numbing cream on for her, and she said she couldn't feel a thing!
the second time she got a tattoo she bought $50 numbing cream from the chemist and she said it didn't do anything...
(i have a pretty good tolerance of pain, but i want numbing cream because of the fact that i don't want to sit there whining for 3 hours when i know i could get something to numb the area which would make me feel a whole lot better.)

okay I got this tattoo on my arm like 4 months ago. I don't like it. So I'm thinking about getting a cover-up.

My questions are:

1.) The tattoo I have on my arm has light blue, white, and very little green in it. If i get a cover-up will black ink cover up these colors? Like I'm thinking of getting a black cross over it.

2.) If I get a cover-up, and if I ever want it remove will it all come off, but it will take longer treatments right?

3.) My tattoo length is about 3 1/4 and the width is about
2 1/2 inches. If I get a cover-up can the tattoo be about the same size over it?

What do you people think:

SHOULD I GET A COVER-UP,GET THIS TATTOO REMOVE, OR GET A COVER-UP AND GET THIS TATTOO REMOVE 20 YEARS FROM NOW??

I got a tattoo three days ago, and I would like to know what should be happening right now. I have been putting A&D ointment on a regular basis every day, and washing it twice a day with Dial Antibacterial soap. What is happening right now is that is itching and the lines are still slightly raised. There is no scabbing yet. Should I continue with the A&D ointment? Should I let it heal on it's own? Does the itching need to be present?

I have recently got a tattoo on my shoulder blade it is about 4 inches by 5 inches and is in black and grey, all my friends without tattoos say that in years to come it will just turn into a blob and you wont be able to see what it is. Is this true that it merges together or are my friends just scaremongering(sp).

Ok I've got lots of tattoo on my right arm, but they were done one by one and don't blend well. There 3 skulls melted together on the front part of the shoulder where meets the arm, a grim reaper under that, a skull in water with a reflection of the skull in the water on my bicept, a wizard throwing a skull into a boiling water pot on my tricept and a skull band around my bicept under the grim reaper and the skull reflection. Any suggestions on what should be applied to make all this go together well?

I am allergic to nickle...I was thinking about a tattoo.
I have heard that they can adjust so the needle is ok to use,but what about the ink? Can they use a special ink, or is the metal content so low it won't bother my allergy? Thanks!

Got a tattoo on the side of my foot on Sunday (follows the curve of a flip-flop along my toes). This is my third tattoo, so I knew the pain involved in getting one. My question is, should it hurt this bad 2 days later? It gives off a "hot" sensation, but is not hot to the touch, extremely tender, to the point any pressure on my foot at all causes pain. It is still a little swollen too. Is this normal? I have not worn shoes since I had it done and have been keeping it clean and moist.
Any thoughts???
