I have a full back piece that starts at the nape of my neck and goes to my butt. The worst part was the sides of my back close to my rib cage and my hips. Its full color no skin color left so it was a long and tedious procedure. Its gonna hurt no matter where you get tattooed. I personally have 18 tats. Some areas are not as bad. It depends on how sensitive your nerves are. The over the counter pain med. Aleve is designed to target mostly nerve pain and actually works good when getting tattooed. You may want to try this while getting your first tat t ease the pain. Tattoos are very addicting though! You will probably be at home designing your next one as soon as you get home. Good luck.

I have two tatts upper and lower back. The only time it hurt was on my lower back when it came across the spine. It also depends though on how much you can tolerate pain. Also depends on how big the tatt is after awhile my lower tatt area got numb. One suggustion though if it is a big tatt get it done at the same time dont go back to finish it cause then it will hurt more cause it will be already sore.

Tattoos will generally hurt regardless of where you get them. It's all up to how well you tolerate pain.

You may want to think again about the location of your tattoo. I almost got a tattoo there unitl I found out that men percieve that as a bullseye. Men have told me when they see a girl with a tattoo on their lower back they see it as a woman who is very sexual. If this is what you want go for it but I thought I should warn you.

Depends on where on body you have a tatoo's done... It hurts alittle bit when they are being done & sore for a few days afterword til they scab over... Keep them moist & cover for a couple of day's. Depnding on how big, should only be a few days to heal. I have a few on arms & working on a big one for back.
