Frank's question about tattoos just got me thinking... I've got a tattoo on my back/shoulder, and sometimes, but not all the time, it has a raised outline, I can feel it clearly with my fingers - has anyone else noticed this, & is it normal? (The artist was not the most reputable, I was a rebellious teenager when I got it done!).

welll lets start with this i periced it by my self with a 14 gauge hollow needle! i put a belly ring in it and ive had it done a week.....its far enough in even tho my mom doesnt think so....i did it last sunday 1 week ago its red on both sides of the percing...besides achohol what is another way that i can keep it clean....or keep it infected...

Once I turn 18, I want to get tattoo on the inside of my left forearm. I want the tattoo to be about an inch and a half wide and 6 and a half inches long. Will it hurt a lot? What will happen when (and if) I get old? Will the needles interfere with my bloodstream or anything? And do you know a place I can get the tattoo at 17, not 18?

I want one on the back of my neck, I heard that it hurts alot but I want to know if it's BEARABLE...Even guys say that it hurts. I've never gotten a tattoo and I wanna know if you just get use to the pain while they're doing it...

I'd like to get a cat or kitten tattooed on me. I'd like it to look
catoon-ish but still classy. Nothing too cartoon-ish, just drawn I guess. But nothing with too much detail as shading costs alot and I'd like something simple! Help! Provide links!

i just got this new tat right above my ankle.. i got it nov 30. it hurts really bad and its all red and swollne and it hurts to walk on it sometimes....its scabbing all up but some parts are healed. i have a tat on my lower back and it did not hurt like this one on my ankle the one on my ankle is smaller then the one on my back i dont get it i have been putting babyoil on it that is what the guy told me to do

I have both piercings and tattoo's and i think they are addictive.

I have pierced:

My Ears twice,
eyebrow,
nose,
tongue twice,
naval four times,
back, and my hood

Tattoos i have:

Shoulder blade moon and sun,
bottom of back celtic design,
top of left wrist four leaf clover,
bottom of right wrist dolphin,
stomach three leaf clover,
left hip chinese symbol,
right hip chinese symbol,
pubic area three paw prints with my dogs names and
top of right foot a rose design.

All my tattoos can be hid in for every day work!!!

I would like more but need to think about what and where to have them!

So I got a tattoo MONTHS ago, in June of a heart on the back of my finger. As soon as I got home I accidentally smacked it against my desk, breaking the skin a little. The skin of the heart scabbed over, filled up with pus and blood, stretching the skin out making it wrinkled, and eventually with a couple more smacks against things the scab came off, and it became a horrible crater where a cute little heart used to be. Now, it's almost xmas and I'm having the same deal still. It's a VERY fresh scar that itches terribly, is really really peely, ugly, and has these odd white seed-like deposits under the skin, kinda like a white-head almost (sorry for getting graphic) but they are hard. I've found, get this, 11 "seeds" in various sizes in my tattoo, This tattoo is smaller then a dime, it should have healed by now, so PLEASE tell me what is going on. THANKS!

I have an 'eye of ra' between my shoulder blades. It has a kind of arc as a bottom line and was keen to try to add an ankh symbol to hang off it. The arc is solid black, so can I add a gold-type colour over the top and have it show? or will the black overpower it? Also considering doing the ankh in blacklight ink, but I'd prefer to have it visible under normal conditions. Thanks for your help
