So I got a tattoo MONTHS ago, in June of a heart on the back of my finger. As soon as I got home I accidentally smacked it against my desk, breaking the skin a little. The skin of the heart scabbed over, filled up with pus and blood, stretching the skin out making it wrinkled, and eventually with a couple more smacks against things the scab came off, and it became a horrible crater where a cute little heart used to be. Now, it's almost xmas and I'm having the same deal still. It's a VERY fresh scar that itches terribly, is really really peely, ugly, and has these odd white seed-like deposits under the skin, kinda like a white-head almost (sorry for getting graphic) but they are hard. I've found, get this, 11 "seeds" in various sizes in my tattoo, This tattoo is smaller then a dime, it should have healed by now, so PLEASE tell me what is going on. THANKS!

I despise finger tattoos, especially colored for these reasons. They are so hard to heal and impossible to keep out of the sun and other damaging elements. We don't do them in my studio.

These little seeds sound to be granulomas or you could have reinfected it with a staph infection. Granulomas can be caused by infection and/or allergic reaction. Red has been known to cause allergic reactions.

It sounds like you had an infection but maybe are now reacting with an allergic response. At any rate - a visit to a dermatologist is in order. Don't wait.

i'm not sure what it really is but it sounds like an infection with and allergic reaction! GO to the doctor NOW!!!! don't wait! honestly you should have went to the doctor atleast a month after you got the tattoo in the first place! It usually takes a tattoo 2 to 4 weeks to heal! if it didn't heal correctly by then go see the doctor!

Maybe you should go to the doctor and have this checked out. The tattoos I have healed fine but none of mine are on places that easily get smacked. But if it has been 6 months and now there are seed things in it...that doesn't sound right at all and should probably be checked out by a professional.

dude--if you weren't tyte w/ you tat. artist then, then go back---now-----hopefully you went to a place w/ a good rep., if so, they probably have seen anything and everything in there!!! when people put foreign objects/matter into or through their skin aka: jewelry/ink-----the body can do weird things when it wants it out!!!! they will know what to do, or, definitly tell you where to go get it seen if they cant help.

You HAVE to go get that looked at by a doctor - you shouldn't have left it this long.
