Oh, this is not a brilliant idea honey. A good tatoo artist is an ARTIST first and then has years of training to know how many skin layers to penetrate to create the best looking, longest lasting tattoo.

If you do it yourself, it will look as if it's bled out, and will look like a prison tatoo. Consider saving some money and getting a pro to do it, because this thing you're about to do will last for life.

A lifetime as a rule - though home made ones tend to look a bit blotchy and uneven after a few months as the needle go to different depths and the ink is rarely proper tattoing ink.

At the very least practice on a bit of belly pork or something similar.

My brother got tattooed by the guy who lived across the street from us when he was 15, the guy tattooed him with a needle and indian ink, my brother is now 45 and the tattoo is still on his arm.

I'm assuming that you are talking about using a needle with thread wrapped around it & dipped in ink. I gave myself one when I was 14 & it faded out when I was 20. It continued fading until it can no longer be found unless you look really hard. I am 53 now! I was happy with my "homade tatoo" & I'm planning on buying myself a gun & doing it all over again. This time, I'm goin' BIG!

It should last forever but some tend to fade after awhile and some end up becoming something you can't even recognize. If your going to go that route then make sure you have the proper equipment. You don't want something you just have to go to an artist to get redone. Good luck<3

why would you want a mediocre tattoo that will look horrible? you should save your money up and go to a real tattoo artist that is experienced and will give you something you will love for a long time.

It will last FOREVER, and it will look HORRIBLE.

I want you to find me a true "homemade" tattoo that actually looks GOOD.

For real, go ahead.

If you want a tattoo, save your allowance and have it done professionally. Sheesh.

a tatoo is a tatoo, and it doesnt matter how you do it, by a professional or at home, it will be on you forever.
