If you are worried about giving the wrong message, then tattoos may not be for you? I understand the social stigma. Ive tattoos & piercings. You cant worry about what others think. You will know what it stands for and friends need no exsplainations.
If your still worried, then place it in a spot that is easy to show off and easy to hide. Like ankle or a peek-a- boo, thats what I call a tatto on your breast, it can be covered or peeking out of your top. Understand?
As for the meaning of dragons? long history, a good artist can talk to you and find the right one for your meaning. Hey but go with what you like....It stands for what you want it to honestly. As for most body art.

Depends on which dragon your referring too. The Eastern Dragon-chinese dragons have 5 toes, Korean dragons have 4, Japanese have 3. Most eastern dragons do not have wings. Those are usually on western dragons. Here is a website that explains it more in detail. Enjoy your tat, its an addicting habit. Smile

There are nine types of Chinese dragons
The types include the
most powerful horned dragon, the winged dragon,
the celestial dragon,
the spiritual dragon which generates wind and rain for thebenefit of mankind,
the dragon of hidden treasures,
the coiling dragon,
and the yellow dragon.
The last of the nine is the dragon king, which actually consists of four separate dragons, each of which rules over oneof the four seas, those of the east, south, west, and north.
The yellow color is the most powerful color of each type of dragon.
Red or black dragons were ferocious, but not as powerful as yellow ones

The dragon is a Chinese symbol of power. If a male has such a tatoo you give yourself to the power of the dragon and commit yourself to destroy all below you to achieve your goals.
Women who wear the symbol of the dragon lower themselves to the same level as a prostitute, but offer services for free. You seek the men of the dragon and offer the physical body for their pleasure.

Chinese dragon is a symbol of power, good luck and protection. If you look at feng shui items, chinese dragon is frequently used for that purpose. I believe people born in the year of dragon have very good luck and they always do better than the rest of the people.

I've never really philosophised any of my tattoos. I get what I like. Period. You needn't explain yourself to others. Get something that you like and can live with and be happy. Good luck.
P.S. I have a sweet dragon tattoo on the back of my neck and I LOVE it!

No matter what the tattoo is, it's going to represent something different do everyone.
I know plenty of people who have dragon tattoos, and they mean something different to each person.
Just make sure the tattoo is exactly what you want, and it can mean whatever you want it to mean. :)

3X2 is WAY TOO SMALL. If you want a nice tattoo (That is how you spell it, by the way), and you want detail, it needs to be bigger. Don't be a puss. The dragon means, what ever you want it to mean.
