OK the way I see it is like this - If just anyone could give a good tattoo, then why are there so many folks walking around with such shitty tattoos? Right.......
So, if you get a great tattoo and all the hope that you do, and you are pleased with their workmanship as well as the business aspect of the situation, um mm lets see here, I just got a new bad *** tattoo for my birthday and the guy who did it was absolutely one of my areas best. Now I am a firm believer in tipping good and all my servers at restaurants get at least 15%. Well I think that the person who is branding your body deserves atleast 35%. This is what they do for a living.....and nothing worth having in life is free, correct? Be good to your people so your people will be good to you. The best advise I think I've ever heard.

There is not a common % for tipping your tattoo artist (no less than no longer that I have heard of). I have five tatttoos and I have continuously situated the quantity of the top on how well of a role the artist did, how convinced I was once together with his paintings, was once he pleasant... that style of factor. The bigger my enjoy, the bigger the top. You can use a fifteen-20% as a guidline in the event you fairly dont know the way so much to tip.

i didn't know that it was proper to tip the tattoo artist because that suppose to be his or her best work each time a tattoo is done by them and the tip is that you give or friends their business card or that you come back for another tattoo

My tattoo artist is very valuable to me. The last time I saw her, she worked for 4 hours on my dragon. It cost me $400 and I tipped her $75. Its my way of showing my appreciation for her work. And when I go in and see her to get it finished, I will tip her again.

I only have tipped my artist, if I really have liked what they have done. It was $20. I had one artist not do quite what I wanted and didn't leave him one. So it is up to you.

Umm... I never tipped any of my tattoo artists. Was I supposed to? I do my own now, or my roommate does them. Hey- if you live in Denver I or my roommate will give you a tattoo- all you need to pay for is the needle and give us an additional 10 bucks to put towards our next order of ink.

It depended on the price of the Tattoo.I always tipped them. They always seem surprised and thankful. I don't think many of them get tipped often.

I would say bout $20 at the least. You spent hours in the chair, and they concentrated on making you look good. Thank them alot without going overboard.
