I have an 'eye of ra' between my shoulder blades. It has a kind of arc as a bottom line and was keen to try to add an ankh symbol to hang off it. The arc is solid black, so can I add a gold-type colour over the top and have it show? or will the black overpower it? Also considering doing the ankh in blacklight ink, but I'd prefer to have it visible under normal conditions. Thanks for your help

My tatto is about three years old now, and have been thinking about it for a good year or two. I did toss about the idea of doing the ankh behind the whole tattoo, kind of like a background - but I don't think it'll work and will end up too big for what I want.

i would check with your artist about whether the gold would show over the black or not.
I have not heard of any colors being able to go over black, but a good artist might be able to come up with something that could work.

Just remember you can always add, but never take away. I like to put a good 6 months of thought before I change any of mine.

i'm pretty sure the gold over the black would not work unless the tattoo is very faded. but it doesn't sound like it is. so... sorry.
