Tattoos - December 2006

as far as fading/blurring goes, is it better for a text tattoo to be bigger with bold script font, or bigger/ smaller with a fine script font?

want to get a spiritual tattoo, but I am having a hard time finding inspiration. I know I don't want something cliche or too mainstream, but I don't want anything wierd either. Does anyone have any ideas or tattoos that they want to share?

so i got a tattoo yesterday my first one, like on my shoulder/arm/...its two cherries, with like blue flames in the background.. its really pretty. and is sore of course, it looks sooo nice..it took 2 hours and its maybe the size of my palm. but alota colors its rally nice... but hmm any advice for it? oh and it was like leakin or something earlier and i calledthe guy and he told me to come backin tomorrow cuz he doesnt want it to ruin cuz its my first and all the colors... I got alota compliments on it. i took pics but I cant connect the cam to the comp... Ill show somethime.. and my bro in lawputs aveeno lotion with soybean onhis.. and theylook great still. hes had em about 4 yrs his most recent was like 5 months ago..

a lot of people say that if a tattoo is raised permanantly, that the artist isnt a very good tattooist . why is that?

I want to change the ball on my hood piercing but have not been able to unscrew it everytime I have tried. Makes it a little more difficult that I can't see it since I don't have a hand mirror.

i have my ears gauged to about 5/8 and im always cleaning them about 2 a week they get this funky smell.ive used soap and alcohol doesnt work what can i use to get rid of the smell

The guy I am dating has an absolutely beautiful tattoo he had done in Japan that covers his entire back. He is rather proud of it (took 3 months to complete, I would be too) and would like to have it printed in a tattoo magazine or a website or something along those lines. I have a small tattoo between my shoulder blades (one I designed myself) and I'm tempted to get another, preferably in a place that can be covered up like the one I've got.
My question is, are there particular places on the body where a tattoo makes a woman look trashy or slutty?
Please give suggestions of where I could get another if I decide to.
