I want to change the ball on my hood piercing but have not been able to unscrew it everytime I have tried. Makes it a little more difficult that I can't see it since I don't have a hand mirror.
Any tips on how to get a stubborn ball off?

I tried holding it with pliers and I kept catching my hood (or worse!) and I quickly threw that idea away.

These pliers are specifically for body jewlry. Don't worry, I wouldn't use real actual ones.
Both balls come off the barbell because 2 weeks after I got it pierced I went back in and she changed my barbell to a curved one using the same two balls.

OH GOD. Honey, don't EVER use pliers, especially near your love button. You can badly hurt yourself and ruin the piercing and the jewelry. Unless you have pliers specifically for body jewelry.
What you should do is wash and dry the area and get a pair of latex gloves to get a better grip. Keep in mind with some jewelry, one of the balls may be stationary and not able to move at all. So try one end and then try the other. Be gentle and take your time, rushing will cause you to pull on the piercing and irritate yourself. if you have a CBR, you will be best off seeing a piercer since pliers and skill are needed to get the ball out.
If you still have troubles, see your piercer, they should be able to help you with appropriate tools

The only way that I was able to do this was to use needlenose pliers to hold the ring and another set of pliers to twist the ball off. If you're careful, it can be done really fast and painless. I also had one of those vanity mirrors with the lights on it so I just sat on the bathroom floor with the mirror facing me so I could see it.

If your using just your bare hands, try wearing latex gloves. You can great them at any drug store. I wouln't use plyers, you can scratch the steel on your barbell and really hurt yourself if you can't see what your doing. If the gloves don't work, head down to your local tattoo/piercing shop. They usually will do it for free or for a small fee.
Hope that helps!

I, too, have had this same problem, and as frustrated as I was, I just kept trying until finally it came loose.
Sorry I don't know what else to tell you, aside from having someone help you with it...

Go back to the person who pierced it and have it removed professionally.
