Piercings are fine because you can just take them out. A tattoo is something totally different because what you like now at 13 years old will be something completely different at 15, and then it'll change again at 18, and so on....
You WILL regret it late on in life. I know that right now you might not care because it IS what you want, and years from now when you might regret it seems so far way, but really it isn't.
You aren't an adult yet. I know that 13 might seem old to you, but what would you think if you saw 10 year old getting a tat? I'm sure you think that's stupid....well imagine the way it looks like to a twenty year old to see a 13 year old getting one...

you cannot legally get a tattoo till your 18 unless your parents sign something and i think that is at 16...so if someone is tattooing you they should be shot cause at 13 you are not thinking long term on the tats you just want one and i am sure you want whats cool now and are not thinking that by the time your 18 you could have totally changed your attitude or beliefs because that is what kids do they change their mind ALLLL the time. I have 3 tats so its not that i am against it i just think at 13 you should slow down and concentrate on getting through school first. good luck and i hope that you wait till you think about it some more.

Yup. I'm 12 and I have a cartiladge piercing and I plan on getting, like, three more. It's not 'cause I think they're cool [which they are, btw. hehe] but because it helps me look better. It gives me more of a giry look, since I have a slightly tough-looking face. If you want a piercing, be sure it's not anywhere that's too extreme, like your lips or tongue or eyebrow. Maybe around your ears or bellybutton is fine, but the bellybutton might not be right at this age.

In India girls(and south indian boys) getvhteir ears pierced at the age of one.Girls get their nose pierced at the age of 8 -10.So go ahead with ear and nose piercing.

umm when i was 13 i had 4 perices double ears on each side now im 15 and ive got 6 pierces then im getting 2 more this summer when im sixteen and hoping on 3 tattoos when im 18

Their parents should be slapped, and the shops where they got the piercings or tattoos done should be given a hefty fine.
The bottom line is, you aren't done growing at your age. No matter what you get (tattoo OR piercing), it's going to look horrible in no time.
So, um, congratulations on your future piercing or tattoo that you're going to be kicking yourself in the a** for in about 3 years. :)

piercings are fine to get at ur age i had my belly button pierced. but dont get a tattoo at ur age ull regret it later. and pls dont get a tattoo cause u think its cool. i am getting one in a couple weeks im 18 and i am doing it cause my twin sis died by birth.not cause i think its cool

I dont think it's legal to get a tattoo at 13 even if you have your parents consent. i hope you're not trusting someone to do it in their house or something. you do that & you're putting yourself at risk for infection and all kinds of things. if my parents had let me get tattoos at 13 or 14, i would've been crying everyday i had to look at some immature looking tattoo i got as a kid. best of luck to you :-)

When I was 13 I had 4 holes in my lobes (two on each side).
My 13 year old niece has her lobes done and wants to get second holes.
