i have been wearing a weave for about 2 yrs. and i havent really been perming my hair on regular basis. i have recently started to wear my own hair, but once i hot curl it or wet set it, it frizzes so bad! i have been doing touch ups but they dont seem to work so i just wanna know do i have to start from scratch and do a virgin perm to get the straightness back again and to prevent the frizzness. thanks.

How do I encourage a hairdresser to take control and just experiment. I like having different styles etc but am not very good at deciding what I want. I accept that I may not like everthing that is done but as I would be looking at visiting the hairdressers every 5-6 weeks I dont think it matters. Oh any hairdressers out there that may see this as a challenge, I am based in the midlands but also work in Newcastle.

Does short hair look good on fat people? I am just a little bit overweight and my hair is getting very long and I need to get it cut, but I am afraid if its to short I will look stupid since I am fat. Do fat fuys look better with short hair? My long hair makes me look lazy, and I am not lazy.

I am African American and have long, thick hair that tends to get dry very quickly. After using oils or grease it is back to being dry in less than 24 hours. Are there any moisturizing or frizz free products that you recommend?

I've read all the articles on tipping hairdressers. The consensus seems to be that you tip about 10% (unless it's the owner of the salon). But what I find hard to know is *how* to do it, and I always feel really awkward and embarrassed about it. Do you give it to them in person? Or do you wait till you get to the desk and pay, and then give the receptionist the tip to pass on? What about the junior who washes your hair? I'd feel really uncomfortable handing money over directly - it feels so old fashioned and patronising. But if I wait till I get to the desk then I feel I can't tip the junior because I usually have no idea what her name is.

If there are any UK hairdressers out there I'd really like to know what you find people usually do. And what they say, if they say anything at all.

I really need something to make my hair growth faster.

Are there anything I can do? Do prenatal vitamins work?

Or are there any natural or cheaper ways?

Plus, my hair is very thin and I don't have dense or thick hair. What can I do to make my hair denser?

Thanks for your help! =)
