I am African American and have long, thick hair that tends to get dry very quickly. After using oils or grease it is back to being dry in less than 24 hours. Are there any moisturizing or frizz free products that you recommend?

Try any products by Avlon. They have 2 great hair care lines called KeraCare and Affirm. Try KeraCare's Moisturizing Shampoo and Humecto Conditioner and Creme Leave in and try their Moisturizing hairdress creme. Also try one of Affirm's Deep conditioning treatments once a week (depending on how often you wash your hair. You need moisture not oil. So no hot oil treatments, they don't work. They just coat the hair and make it heavy, it doesn't even penetrate the cuticle.
Also look for products where the first ingredient is water and one that does not (or at least lists close to the end) list petroleum. It just weights the hair down.
Hope this helps.
Oh yeah, and try to sleep on a satin or silk pillowcase or tie hair with satin or silk scarf. Cotton also dries the hair of it's natural oils and causes breakage and shedding especially in too hot or too cold weather.

Redken Smooth Down works great for thick, dry hair. It helps out with the frizz and won't make it greasy looking. The Smooth Down Heat Glide and the Butter Treat products are my favorites.
