Every licensed cosmetologist will have a certificate that is required by law to be hung in full view at the place of work. You can check that. They also have a smaller wallet size card that also states they are licensed. You can ask to see it. It is true, unfortunately, that many people do not know how to spell, even with Spellchecker! However, you would think they would know how to spell hairstylist -- especially if she is one! If she doesn't want to talk about it, then don't ask. And if she is being secretive about all these things, you have little in common, so don't have to be in contact very much at all.

Well I'm not actually fully licensed. I already passed my practical and the written will be a piece of cake being that my last final for cosmo was exactly like the written exam and i got a 98. But I'm just waiting to get my own salon to get my full license, you make more money that way.
