it goes sticky and clumps together but I don't think it does any permanent damage.

It would become dull, limp and lifeless. You would have flaky scalp and itching. Some people develop a rash.

It will start to brake off slowly, close to your scalp, or where ever the shampoo residue is, if you continuously do it.

I don't know that anything would happen with my hair, but my scalp would itch like crazy.

Your hair will just feel brittle but it will make your scalp dry and it'll itch. x
