Can someone please explain to me what suzuki acting classes are? I discovered an ad in a local paper about suzuki acting classes. The instructors are supposedly going to teach the classes "dojo-style". What does this mean. How does this style differ from regular acting classes. Do you think I'd learn a lot or benefit in any way from taking these classes? Please explain. Thanks!

Hi, does anyone know of any good acting schools in London that is good for absolute beginners? Im looking for a class that can help me gain more confidence with speaking and interacting with people and I think the best way to do so is through acting, instead of taking some money grobbing condifence course.

The thing is the ones I have seen focus mainly on developing professionals in theatre or film. I'm looking for one that doesn't take itself so seriously and it's main aim is to have fun.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I was looking through Romeo and Juliet's character list and it mentioned a person named Rosaline. It stated that she was the women whom Romeo is infatuated at the begining of the play. But I can't find the scene where she is mentioned. In what act and what scene was Rosaline mentioned?

I need a five minute long skit for my school's spirit week competition. The funnier the better and it has to be clean and have no references. It has to involve 9 people, 7 guys and 2 girls and preferably easy to remember stuff since seventh graders have to have this memorized by Friday. So in summary, easy and funny for 9 people.

If you know of any good websites I'd appreciate it.

I do. He always has the same face... not exactly versatile. Now Johnny Depp on the other hand is extremely versatile! He went from a creepy choclateer to a HOT pirate. Who else could make a pirate hot? Not Orlando Bloom!

I have a recall audition for a theatre school which is really hard to get into. For the recall they have sent me a application form to fill. One of the questions are: We want you to write a little bit about yourself. And then there is a blank page.
I think that I should not just write a boring biography of my life.. How can I answer this question best possible way?
What should I include?
Anywhere I can find good examples??

I saw Les Miserables the other day at the theatre, and blimey it was hard going. It was really difficult following what they were singing about so i gave up in the end and just enjoyed the music despite not knowing what they were singing about. What was it about? All I got was that a poor man stole some silver, he was let off for some reason, he became rich (somehow), and bought a child from some woman who was treating the child as a slave (the daughter's real mother had died). I did not understand anymore of it. Can someone help me to make sense of this play.

I'm trying to organise a fundraiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, but I can't think of an effective fundraiser. I don't want to do the catalogs or chocolate or cheesecake, or stuff like that; I want to do something more relevant to theatre, Broadway, and the like.

Please help? Thanks.

i'll be auditioning for To Kill a Mockingbird in my community theater in a few weeks, and i was wondering about the accents. my mom said it was like a deep south accent, like

wheas the fol?
(where's the foil?)

but i think it's more of a hick accent like in the movie, like

i ain't never gonna give up!

if you have any insight as to what accent would be more appropriate, i'd be very thankful.

Well, I have an interesting idea for a comedic fantasy-genre film, but besides having the money, where do I get started? I plan to make this film after college and perhaps exhibit it at a film festival, but I also want it to be of such a caliber that it could possibly get into a real public theater.
Who besides actors and musicians (for the soundtrack) would I need on the produciton team?

What are the chances that someone will tape the performance of Equus that Daniel Radcliffe is going to be in and then post it on the Internet (lets say YouTube).
My friends and I are crazy Daniel Radcliffe fangirls who can't afford to fly to England and are now stuck in the US wondering how great that play will be. We really want to know what is the probablity that some kind soul will post the performance on the Internet.
