What was the plot? West Side Story is my favorite movie! Total Romeo and Juliet but without all the "thou" and "thee".

The same as the plot of "Romeo and Juliet." Male from one gang/family falls in love with female from competing or enemy gang/family. Because of their peers opposing their match-up, as in Romeo and Juliet where the families opposed the match-up, the two lovebirds end up dead. There are knife fights in the story, as there were sword fights in Shakespeare's play. (Tho I really liked how the updated "Romeo + Juliet" stuck to the play's script by having the guns be named. Yeah, I'd name my assault rifle "Broadsword.")

it's like romeo and juliet, except with music and bad dancing.

ok, there's these two gangs, the Sharks and the Jets, and these two people from the gangs fall in love, tony (a Jet) and maria (a sister of a Shark) maria also happens to be latino. they fall in love and a big gnag fight happens because of it. Tony dies, and maria scolds/screams at everyone.

some of the songs are ok, but almost all of the dancing is horrible.

hope that helps.
