I just got contacted to do a low budget movie about a cyclopse, and the director want only one eye on the center of the forehead. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to do a half mask to cover the eyes, so I'm looking for some tips! Anything you can offer me would be stellar!

Mkay...
I'm auditioning for a chance to perform with 15 other thespians in June... I need two ninety-second monologues of differing types, i.e. comedy and drama, romance and adventure, however you choose to look at it.
I know I have the ability, I just don't know where the heck to find good monologues!
Your thoughts?

I need two contemporary women's monologues and I can't seem to find many on the internet. Does anybody have any suggestions for me? Also, to any of you who have done these auditions before, do you know of any good places on the internet to get instrumental scores for musicals?

In case you haven't heard all of the buzz, the 17 year old actor Daniel Radcliffe is trying to toss out his young Harry Potter persona and is acting in a London play where he appears nude and has an erotic fixation for horses.. Is this career suicide, or pure genius at setting himself apart from the Harry Potter role as a young man?

i've done 2 one-act competitions so far. the one my freshmen year we got disqualifyed because someones sister videotaped the play after we told them NOT TO... then this year, we got 4th out of 7.... and im telling you, technically, we were much better than the 2nd place! they constantly blocked each other, and turned their back to the audience and we were told that those are teh two MAIN no-no's in competition.. the only got it because their play was just plain creepy... it was 'Bad Seed'.. if you've seen it you know why its creepy. the winners ofcourse won because.. 1) they have over 150 people in the drama program and they had 65 actors in their one-act play.. and it was Bye-Bye Birdie.. AND they had home-stage advantage.. so of course they won, there was never any doubt to that.. 3rd was a play we didnt see because they were before us and we were getting dressed but it was a sad love story called 'love letters' that i heard was good.
This year we want to stand out..any suggestions?

Why is it that people (particularly those in my highschool) say that guys who act or take theatre/dance, or be in a highschool play/musical are gay eventhough there ARE REAL MEN out there in the world who acts (or dances) for a living?

Some famous examples:
- Brad Pitt
- Usher (had acted in a broadway musical Chicago besides his usually singing)
- and all other MEN actors and dancers out there on the world: John E Depp, Vin Diesel, whatever...etc.

I mean, wouldn't that make these men gay in their opinion?
What's your take on this?
