I have heard conflicting stories. Les Miserables? Wicked? Give me your opinion and a good reason. I'm not looking for an expert, because this is all what people think individually. Here are some guidelines in making your choice- character development, plot, music, etc. Thank you!

I got a call from an agency that I submitted myself to. They would like me to audition for local modeling and local commercials. This is how stars start off! And it wouldn't interfere with school. But when I asked my mom, she said "No way. Forget it." This sort of this always happens. She knows my dream is to become an actress, but she says my time will come. Well, my time will never come if I sit on my butt all day like she wants me to! Why doesn't she want me to become and actress? And how can I achieve my dream (I'm 13) when the person I need most won'tbe there for me?

Working on a comedy / thiller stage play here in USA. Wanting various ways (what you think would be scary to be seen on stage in a theatre production - be realistic here - no high tech stuff) to murder characters on stage. List different ways, scenarios to kill off characters.

I've always loved movies. I've always loved how I could watch a performance and be changed completely in one aspect of my life. And I've always wanted to be able to do that. Change peoples preception on something or get their minds of something that has been bothering them for 2 hours at least. I've learned that acting and movies helps me and that it's a beautiful thing and takes alot of talent. I've been on these forums seeing people talking about how they want to act and how they want to become rich and famous. And I've been thinking about it lately, and from the bottom of my heart, I don't want it for the fame or money, I'll even do a film for free. I don't get how people could be shallow about it. Why say, "When I grow up I'm going to act for the fame and money," because acting is something greater than that. I want what movies do for me. I guess I mean, I love and want to, but I think I'm afraid to dream. I'm afraid I might be here wallowing when I could be practicing acting.

Having watched a number of broadway musicals, I'm curious to know whether the performers are aided in amplifying their voices, especially when singing. It looks like they sing in a way that's not possible for their own voice to be loud enough to fill a 500+ theatre. However I've not seen a blatant use of microphones on stage, and performers move around the stage a lot so fixed microphones would have problems capturing voices. Furthermore, the audience doesn't generally detect voices played out from speakers. The voices seem to emanate from the stage and fill the theatre evenly.
Any of you have been involved in a musical and could answer?
