How do you write a play?

I need to write a 10 minute play
What should it have?
What goes in it?
How long is it?
Arg I am so confuesed, cuz my silly english teacher gave us 3 weeks to write a play, while i have no clue what a play it is :(

The books above should be very helpful but you have to get moving. If you have the time, find a VERY SHORT short story & rewrite it into a play. You'll have material to work with that will "break you in" while you come up with a storyline for your own.

Go to the library and look up a book called "A Primer of Playwriting." It's a very quick look at the process.
