What I did a couple of months ago was to put a bunch of titles in the Google search box. That led me to a site that listed a number of retailers, with peoples' ratings and reviews of them. Sorry I can't remember the site. Anyway, I chose DVD Empire.

If what you want might have made it to VHS but not to DVD (and a good bet anyway), try e-bay.

"a star is born"? The movies? Three versions, easily found.
