I prefer to read paperback copies because they are easier to fold and such. I just buy the hardbacks because they look nice on my book shelf, lol. I am just curious why they wait so long after a book is released to release it in paperback?

Supposedly, someone hacked into R. K. Rowlings' computer and saw her text for the last book there... If that's true it sucks!

Why is the Sorting made with people sitting in a stool? Is there something more to the stool or is it just to prevent nervous first-years to collapse on the floor (although it's useless in Neville's case!)?

I don't think its Serius's brother for two reasons. First he wasn't an exceptional wizard. I say this because serius says he's not important enough to be killed by Voldemort; the "greatest" wizard alive was inches away from death after getting the fake locket so i doubt a half wit could have done it. Second Regulus died shortly after joining the death eaters. I don't think that Voldemorts closest followers knew that he had horcrux's (See Malfoy's reckless behavior with the diary) and if his closest followers didn't know i doubt someone who joined the death eaters for a short while then was killed would have figured it out, then broken through all of Voldemorts traps. I think that it was someone close to voldemort probably one of the kids in the room in the memory, Harry Dumbledore OLD slug-club members and R.A.B are the only ones who know about voldemorts horcrux's so far.

I have read many books over the years and have found all creatures great and small one of my favorites. I like the ones that are human growth with honesty and heart, happy or sad. Micheners books on Alaskaand Hawaii start slow but are excellent. Winds of War-wouk. Brian Picolo-I am third.

It's so dang annoying! Every good book I read, they have to go and wreck it by making it into a movie! Sometimes the movie is good, but its never half as good as the book. And then people watch it and think they know the story when actually there's so much missed out!!!!!

I read the book first but couldn't get on with it.. I found it a little overwhelming at first but a good read. Then I saw I saw the film adaptation a few times and have just got half way through reading the novel for the 2nd second time. I love it! What thinks you?

My opinion of the movie is lowering with every page of the novel that I read. The film leaves out way too much, leaves much to be explained (i.e. there are blank moments when the viewer is supoosed to guess what's going on), Sophie and Langdon find clues to their mission way too quickly, there is no suspense... the list is endless. Anyone got anything to add?

There is so much more in the book than you would ever find in the film because all what you make be looking for, just isn't there.

Who else thinks that Ron Howard was just cashing in on a good novel? I do - it was rushed and could have been written and directed with a little more thought.

I wonder what Dan Brown makes of the film?

Which book stores will have live animals (owls and such) at their Harry Potter Midnight Parties? A few of my friends were talking about this and I wanted to know if it was true and which book store it is. The time I should be at the party would also be great.

I am 15 years old and I hate to read...."boring" books.
Like books that arent exciting from begining to end or have a lot of foreign words in it.
Right now I am reading hunchback of notre dame
and I hate it
I dont want to read it any more
I am totally in to Harry Potter
and I like mysteries
I dont like romance novel (not the one my grandma reads) but if its like teen romance with other stuff then its ok i guess
and I like fantasy books like the harry potter series (like witches and wizards) but all the books I read about witches and wizards I end up comparing to harry potter
so I dont know
what books should i read that arent boring through out the book
oh and my reading level is college level so if a book is difficult to read thats fine

People use the word "haunting" about so many books, but to me this is truly one of the books that will stay with me for some time. I read it quickly in about 3 hrs last week and I can`t stop thinking about it.
I do believe it deserves to be called a masterpiece.............
