As Meat Loves Salt- Maria McCann is brilliant and beautifully told.
Music For the Third Ear- Susan Schwartz Senstad
Dancer- Culem McCann
You can't find these at a grocery store. But all three are profound novels that get the cogs in your brain working.
P.S.
I'm not one of those people that read only best- sellers and all that. If I were, I would be missing out on so much great literature!

Depends on what you consider good taste. But a few of my favorites are To Kill a Mockingbird (by Harper Lee), A Great and Terrible Beauty (by Libba Bray), The Lovely Bones (by Alice Sebold), and Night (by Elie Wiesel). And I have no idea if you can buy any of those at a grocery store... any grocery store I've ever been in only sold magazines (and food, obviously... but I mean, no books at all).
=)

Good taste is highly subjective. What you consider "good Taste" may be someone elses trash. I consider the authors I read to be excellent. They normally dont appear at the grocery store unless the store sells late arrival paperbacks. Try reading Sue Grafton, John Sandford, John Grisham, Joe Hill, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Clive Barker, Scott Smith, CS Lewis, JRR Tolkien, John Twelve Hawks, James Pattrerson, Tami Hoag, etc etc...

Buddy, just because it's not a hundred years old doesn't mean that it isn't good.
