I'm a young adult, and these are my favorite fiction titles:
I Am The Messenger about Markus Zusak - a book about a taxi cab driver and these weird letters he's getting in the mail
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak - a historical fiction novel about a girl who steals books from Nazi book burnings
Looking For Alaska by John Green - a boy who is obsessed with last words falls in love with a girl named Alaska at a boarding school
An Abundance of Katherines by John Green - a former child prodigy, tired of being a loser, and has beend dumped by 19 girls - all named Katherine - graduates from HS and goes on a road trip with his friend Hassan
The Midnighters series by Scott Westerfeld - his wife Justine Larbaliester (I think I'm spelling that way wrong) is also a writer and writes the "Magic or Madness" series
Magic or Madness -a girl named Reason meets these other kids and discovers her magic power - unlike Harry Potter, darker and more realistic
Midnighters - a girl moves to Bixby, Oklahoma and discovers there is an added hour to the night, and other kids from her school seek her out - sci-fi - to help defeat these creepy creatures, a three book series
Peeps - by Scott Westerfeld - a boy who has a virus that turned all his ex-gfs into vampires has to go and hunt them down
Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld - when people turn 17 they get to look pretty, about a girl and a friend she makes who thinks differently of the idea
boyproof by Cecil Castelluci - a girl who thinks she is "boyproof" - very enigmatic, falls in love for the first time
Any book by Sue Limb - she writes the Girl, Charming But Insane books and though they are more girl oriented, they are hilarious and the story line is SO different from any novels pushed towards girls these days.

even however i'm no longer prepared on the flicks, I enjoyed the Twilight books. additionally, The Host (additionally Stephanie Meyer) is particularly stable, lots greater suitable than Twilight. delight and Prejudice and Zombies is staggering. sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters isn't fairly as stable, yet nevertheless the only way that i'll study Jane Austen. The Bell Jar by ability of Sylvia Plath is a dismal classic. David Levithan (Boy Meets Boy, Nick and Nora's limitless Playlist) is large. lots of his characters are gay, so in case you're actually not into that, do no longer study his books. yet there's no picture intercourse interior of those i've got study. communicate by ability of Laurie Halse Anderson is existence-changing. Laurie Faria Stolarz writes stable stuff. And one among my favorites ever: Ellen Hopkins. truly ordinary-to-study books that are dark and could effect you constantly.
