People use the word "haunting" about so many books, but to me this is truly one of the books that will stay with me for some time. I read it quickly in about 3 hrs last week and I can`t stop thinking about it.
I do believe it deserves to be called a masterpiece.............

Well I agree with your "haunting" comment but as far as a Masterpiece, it's like beauty, It's in the eye of the beholder. The book did stay with me for quite a while as well. I coulnd't believe that I could feel as uplifted as I did at the end thinking that his son had a chance....

No but I'll try to get to it. His books Cities of the Plains and All the Pretty Horses were good.
