I am halfway through reading The English Patient by Michael Ondaatje. I have not seen the movie yet. So far, the book doesn't have the romance I expected and kind of hoped for out of my summer read. Instead, it is a great story with fascinating characters set during WWII. I'm not finding it to be an easy read. Its full of poetic writing and lacks quotation marks to easily judge who is speaking, but you do know because the syle of speach changes with each character and you get to know them intimately. I'm loving it and I hope the movie doesn't disappoint me when I do see it.

Oh My GOODNESS! The best book in the world is Twilight and it is by Stephanie Meyers. Now don't shy away when you read what its about because I was a little hesitant at first too but i picked it up and now it is one of my all time favorite books in the universe!

The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells. It's wonderfully written but at the same time gritty and frightening (through not in a horror sense). It's one of my favorite books!
