I'm a really good writer and I love to write! But the problem is that I have no good ideas on stories (I want to write fiction) Everytime I have a good idea, I work on the plot and I get stuck and it seems like the story has no piont. I can never get a complete story! Any tips from authors?!

basically a love story set in medieval land (made up) but not like Eragon and packed with new races and stuff. there are a couple, but these aren't the man focus at all! they're mentioned like an afterthought.
The storyline in BRIEF:
There is a queen who is average looking. she meets a poor boy who is beautiful. They sort of fall in love, but she is more mesmerized by his looks; she lets him into Court, marries him off to a rich girl (so he can stay with the rich 'gang' but she deliberately chooses and ugly girl, so there's no risk of him falling in love with her.) Thins go well, he is rich, and him and the Queen have like a secret relationship. But then things change- he becomes arrogant (he was innocent before) rude, he gets into drugs that the rich guys all take (cos it's a made up land, i made up the drugs also) and she realizes he hasn't seen his family in months. So she forces him to leave. It's kind of sad.
i'm writing it anyway, but i just want opinions.

I know I just posted a question yesterday that in some way lamented the many many many postings of Harry Potter related questions. But my curiosity just got the better of me.

The news has been filled with the story of the Hacker who claimed to Hack into Bloomsbury and get the manuscript for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. He's posted it online in an attempt to take away the pleasure of reading the book when it comes out because he believes Harry Potter to be evil.

Regaurdless of his beliefs, or if you think it's the real deal, will you or have you peaked? Are you curious enough to risk spoiling the book if it is the real thing or would you rather not see it even if it's completely made up? If you have I don't want you to post anything said on there here, please give everyone the courtesy they deserve and don't spoil anything. I just want to know if you would look or have looked. A simple yes i will, no I won't, or I have looked with be sufficiant.

Besides the overmentioned Anne Rice, what authors or particular vampire novels do you love? I'm looking to find something engaging and interesting. Whether its more horror, more drama, more mystery, it doesn't matter. I just want something worth taking the time out to read. Any suggestions?

Can anyone name a few? I'm looking to start reading some. I don't really care for Agatha Christie's work, and the last Cromwell book I picked up "Body Farm" (I know it's older) I did not like because of the deus ex machina.

I am starting an organization and I remember reading how the corporation in Tai Pan ran. I would like to model it after that. So if you know where in the book or where in the series; or you can just explain it to me that would be groovy. Thx!

Okay so i'm 14 and i don't like reading! The only books that i enjoy are written by Lurlene Mcdaniel, i mean i love these books and can read them in a few hours!! I have read all of them now, including her newest Hit and Run which by the way was sort of a disapointment. I think the only reason i like them is because they are mostly about diseases like cancer and diabetes, but they usually involve romance! I also feel that i know the characters because they seem so real. Does anyone else feel the same way as i do? And does anyone know of an author that writes similar books?

Here is a short passage from my book, but I need to know how bad it is and please point out the mistakes, Im just a beginner in the art of writing

Joane woke up to the sweet scent of the red roses. She felt warm and comfortable under the black silk sheets of the great bed. She slowly got off the bed, dressed in a silk black nightgown, the cloth soft to the touch. Her bare footsteps met the cool surface of the black marble floor as she made her way towards the tall golden doors that opened up to the balcony. The high balcony looked over the rose gardens of the house. As she opened the tall golden doors, a soft scented wind greeted her face and the bright amber light of the early red sun flooded into the marble walled room, making it bright with a golden glow. She stepped up to the balcony and looked over the land, her land. She looked at the city before her, beyond the walls of her house, the many houses of the city lined up under the crimson sun and the black moon. One side of the moon a vibrant glow of amber, soon the sun would move to block the moon behind it, making the city bright with its vibrant amber light. Her house towered over all of Rose city’s buildings except for the holy temple. In the East, below the amber black sky, she could see the domed rooftop of the holy temple of Rose city, its golden dome a warm glow under the light of the small crimson sun. She remembered the first time she saw the House of Roses. It was years before, when she was just a little girl. She had moved to the Rose city with her mother when she was still a child of ten. She remembered seeing the two towering buildings for the first time, the House of Roses, all made of black marble, its top flat and red with gardens of roses. Her eyes then had marveled at the beauty of the golden dome top of the temple of Roses, its white stone walls bright and pure. She remembered riding slowly with her mother through the busy streets and crowds of people, the two towering buildings had stood high on opposite ends, the black house of Roses on the West and the temple of Roses on the East. That was all long ago. Many years had passed since that day she rode with her mother for the first time into the Rose city. Many years had passed and many things had changed. She wished her mother had been there to see her rise to rule over all of the Rose lands. But now her mother was gone so there was no use thinking of things that didn’t happen and could never happen. She had become all powerful and feared but with all her power, with all her priests and with all her mages, she could never bring her mother back from the dead.
