Besides the overmentioned Anne Rice, what authors or particular vampire novels do you love? I'm looking to find something engaging and interesting. Whether its more horror, more drama, more mystery, it doesn't matter. I just want something worth taking the time out to read. Any suggestions?

OMG we examine each and each of an analogous books as properly Sookie Stackhouse sequence. however the others I own all of them too. yet i've got additionally examine The Immortal gadgets with the aid of Cassandra Clare. it rather is good too, there are 3 books to the sequence. however the appropriate i'd could say is the single that have been given me began would be Twilight Saga. it rather is genius. yet i did no longer examine the Vampire Diaries yet. attempt those. they have relatively a number of them in a chain and would final you a on an analogous time as. i admire the supernatural too. So i'm no longer into hardcore Romance yet there's a e book sequence i admire and additionally you could purchase all 3 in one for the value of one. it rather is observed as: Kissed with the aid of An Angel with the aid of Elizabeth Chandler. it rather is like $6 at Sam's club or 7 to eight$ at Kmart or Walmart. it rather is not hardcore romance the two and it rather is with regard to the supernatural. it relatively is a secret, secret and romance. i'm hoping I helped.

"The Sun Will Find You" by Chris Muffoletto. A small press publication that I was fortunate enough to find. It's a great story and not foofy or absurdly romantic like many Anne Rice or the countless non-horror derivatives that have surfaced in recent years (probably quite a few that I'd place in this category by others who have answered this question!).

It's a good solid story. Gritty, without excessive gore, good without demeaning the reader.

Sunshine, by Robin Mckinley. It's a great vampire novel. It has a great plot, wonderful story, and ends like there might be a sequel, which I would love to see. The human/vampire interaction in the book is wonderful.

Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. It's about a girl named Bella who falls in love with a vampire named Edward. Wonderful book. I just finished it. Couldn't put it down.

I would also reccomend the sequal, New Moon. Also the third book, Eclipse, which comes out August 7th.

I'm not a huge fan of the genre, but I have read some by a fair number of authors at this point. I'd say my favorite is The Historian by Kostova.
