What is the best teen book ever written, in your opinion?

Is it something current or a bit older?

[I'm hoping everyone doesn't say Harry Potter]

I wanted to read everything about lord of the rings, written by Tolken (it's author).
which books should I read in chronological order, to get good grip on the story, understand it better, and enjoy it as well?
I have no knowledge about anything associated with the Lord Of the Rings, I havent seen the films too. So, I wanted to make a start on the story from the books, but am confused which to start first. Plz help.

When I read Dumbledore's death in Book 6 it took a few long moments to sink in. Once it did, I burst into tears [and I wasn't a teenager, either :-)] and cried solid for several minutes! I had to read the rest of the book twice because it was all a fog. It was 4:00 AM at the time, so I had no one to talk to, but I felt like running to my flatmates and screaming "Wake up! Dumbledore is dead! How can you sleep?"

I'm petrified to find out if Harry dies!

I'm afraid he might have to sacrifice himself in order to kill Voldemort.

I know I'm going to read straight through without stopping to find out what happens though!

I hear some places are setting up - get this - counseling for kids in case Harry dies. As ridiculous as that sounds, it's quite understandable to me...

Will you cry if Harry dies?

I writing a book about a middle-class, ugly girl who moves to the wealthy, exclusive and glam Manhattan Suburbs called Hilton Parks because her dad got a job raise. When she goes to her new private, rich high school (she's a freshman), she is invisible and everyone ignores her or talks behind her back, so let's just say she doesn't fit in because of her hideous clothes, shy, pushover personality and ugly stuff. She makes a couple of best friends there too and they become tight. Suddenly the school's most popular clique a.k.a School Royalty invites her in to be a member of their clique. The clique is mean, vicious, snobby, vain, conceited, gorgeous and has everyone bowing down to them and worshiping their every move. The new girl joins because she will do whatever it takes to be popular. They transform her in every aspect and she becomes like them in every way. Will she go back to her normal life because of regret or will she stick it out as one of the Queen Bees.

Any Titles?

The book is 27 chapters, and about 111,000 words (I believe about 450 pages). Anyway, I had two teachers guide through the entire 16 months that it took me to finish writing the book, which started by a pure accident. Also, my work was reviewed by Marsha Willis, author of The Ethan Chronicles. In her letter to me she said, "It’s very reminiscent of a Grimm brothers’ fairy tale, or other fairy tales. It has an ancient feel to the language, and yet you have managed to weave in suspense, and a modern flavor. It’s like fantasy; sort of a Harry Potter feel."
I know that does not mean anything to you, but to me it means the a lot. Why? I am 19 yrs from Iraq who moved to the USA about 3 yrs ago, where I started learning English from the alphabets.
I need help in finding an agent or a publisher. Any recommendations, suggestions will be great. Thanks a bunch.

So Salman Rushdie is to become Sir Salman

I say great; the man is a genius; that's what arts honours are for. His peers say he's a bit of a princess. Probably true. But, in this context, so what?

Eddie Willers says, "Dagny, that is what it was and you knew it, then but i didn't you knew it when you turned to look at the rails..I said "not business or earning a living"..but, Dagny business and earning a living and that in man which makes it possible- that in man which makes it possible..that is the best within us, that was the thing to defend. I want to improve on one of the weaker sections. This is just after our main character, Jecssica (who is dead and in the afterlife, in a kind of etrenal party) tries a hapiness drink called Ressin. Please tell me how I can improve apon it.

The reaction was imideite. I was slammed aginst the Happy Wall. Something hit me, then I felt dizzy, but blissfully free. I could do, well, anything! The world was mine! I laughed maniacly. I was surrounded by people, all of them wanted to help me, be my friend. I danced to the booming music the room was suddenly amitting, the fabric of my new, clingy dress damp. Boys, cute boys were actually paying attention to me! Jessica! Ugly old Jessica! But I wasn’t ugly anymore- I was radiant.
