I don't know what the name of the book was, but I remember that it had trolls in it. I know that it was about them not wanting to take a bath. It was mostly a picture book. It was meant to explain to kids why they should take a bath. It showed the trolls in their town and showed how they were without a bath. To describe the animations in the book, I'd say kind of close to Tim Burton, yet somehow lighter in color.

Please help me find out the name of this book. A friend of mine says she thinks she knows what I'm talking about, but the book is out of print.

The Hidden Gem





A beautiful piece of art

Just sitting in the dark.

Underneath all that surrounds

Known only to those who have seen it

Even then it is not found,

A gem waiting to be found

By a lucky passer by,

That will be the day

That they will be the luckiest around,

No one has ever found it

Who knows if it will be,

Will time cover it up

Or just blow all the debris away?

Will the finder be so naïve

As to just throw this gem away?

Or will they cherish it forever?

And never let it go.

I need to estimate the cost of proof reading a book.

But I am not sure how long it would take. Can anyone tell me how long does it take to proof read 100 pages of text, looking for spelling and grammatical errors (rather than factual errors).

Ok here is the deal...I have to read chapters 1-4 of this book and spark notes or whatever will not help because I have like analyze diff. parts of it and yeah I have looked EVERYwhere in this town and can not find it...I am very good at putting things off till the last min and so now I am screwed because I have to do this by like tom. and no place in town has it...I have heard there is a website where you can get full books for free off of if they are old enough...which I think it is..anyone have any ideas?

I have read "The Mitten" by Jan Brett. This story is actually an adapted story from a Ukrainian folktale. I have searched the internet many times looking for older versions of the story from which this was adapted. Is there anyone out there that happens to know what this story was adapted from or can be lucky enough to find a site or two with this information?
