I've noticed that in some things by Charlotte Bronte and Edgar Allen Poe the dates are hyphened... for example: "18--"

and also with the names of town like "----shire" or something like that. I was wondering why they do that?

What do u think about it?
I guess Dumbledore was pleading Snape to kill him,
Dumbledore always trusted Snape and I'm sure that Dumbledore had his own acceptable reasons to trust a person like Sanpe.
What do u think?

I remember reading an old short story where a man mistakenly gets lost in a train / subway station and stumbles across a ticket counter that is set in the 1800's. He doesn't get on the train, but then spends months trying to go back and find the counter again....eventually you know he did because you read an 'old' letter in his house attic written by him after he 'went back in time'

I'd really like to find this story if anyone can help!

Thanks -S

What are the best works that are about or have information on the Arthurian legends. Because I plan on writing a book about them myself and I'll need a good bibliography to persuade a publisher.

I read that I am looking for. One of the characters name was Palmer, and pretty sure there was a girl named Shannon as well. They lived at this private school (kind of like Zoey 101), and shared a suite together. I remember in one book they snuck out and they all ended up getting into trouble because of Palmer's bad idea and couldn't go to a dance. If anyone even has a remote clue to what I am talking about I would be so happy. I haven't read them in so long that it's hard to remember the exact name of the series. =)
