I would be hard pressed to decide between Anne of Green Gables (because she got her first book published at 18) and Arwen from LOTR because she's the best developed (literarily speaking) female in the series.

People seem to be able to get more and more offended as time goes on, and these same people seem also to be less and less willing to accept apology or reason.

So what is the function of Offence as an emotion? Why do we have it, and why is there more around now than any time in the last few hundred years?

Is there any way around it other than changing our ways?

I have what I believe is a good idea for a non-fiction "season in the life" type sports book. The story will be more compelling a year from now and I am wondering how to go about seeing if any publishers may have interest.

Can anyone with experience tell me how to get started? Anything from who I would contact at the various publishers to see who to send my submission to and what to include in my proposal. Any type of protocol really.

Clearly I have very little experience in this realm, any further advice would be appreciated.

please how important is it to take lessons vs. trying to teach yourself? Or did you do both? Which is best way to learn fast, especially to be able to play beautiful pop songs? Thanks

Also how often do you practice and for how long? Anything really help you advance fast? (e.g. books DVDs or certain methods)

I believe that the Roman Leigons were the best army!! Because of them the Roman Empire conquered most of the middle east. They were disciplined, well trained and their tactics and way of fighting was un rivaled!

She hinted on tv today that he had an infatuation with a boy at Hogwarts - but if memory serves all the main characters were 17 and younger-so basically Dumbledore was a Pedophile? And she chose to reveal this AFTER we all bought all the books and movies lol??

In Yahoo news, there is a story about the Japanese Government wanting to revise history textbooks regarding WW2. "Education Minister Kisaburo Tokai has said overturning them [not revising the textbooks] would be difficult and could alienate powerful nationalists in his Liberal Democratic Party." What's your opinion on this rewriting of history textbooks just for politics? The Jews rant and rave about the Holocaust, so here's my input on another part of history's atrocities.
