He was wild, crazed, and reckless. He saw through bloody eyes. His mind was slightly altered from the norm. He constantly fought off demons and evil spirits. Still, he had high hopes and expectations. Along with his militant mind frame came organizational skills beyond comparison. His name was Demetrius. However, people called him meech. He was a poo poo head.

What was that building and why was it not flattened and destroyed like all the others?

While creationists would disagree, I believe humans were propelled to our current position in the food chain by the challenges we faced: Predators/prey inspired and developed our speed, stealth, cooperation, and cunning as a defense and a survival skill, as well serving to weed out the weak or infirm, ensuring that each new generation was stronger, and more apt to succeed. The same could be said for plagues, famines, conflicts, and any other challenge we've faced as a species - that they have been the fire in which our status as "dominant species" was forged.

Now, we consistently undermine the elements that would strengthen us further. Disease and famine are combated the world over, wars are treated with disdain, the unmotivated or incapable are fostered by the state and breed new generations of the same, and the only predators that remain to hone us are ourselves.

By eliminating most of what drives a creature to improve, how long before we start backpedaling into extinction?

ok to begin, at first blush im Eritrean. But it doesnt end there.
for example, i KNOW i must have gotten ancestry genes from the colonizers (italy) and first ancestors of Yemen. OK, My mom is European coloured, AND SO is her dad...there technically both white coloured or euro coloured...my dad is not black coloured, but he is brown....My grandpa weirdly has blue eyes (moms dad), and i dont know to much bout my dads side...lol..i look exactly like my mom, except im a lil darker, im light brown, (i get dark in the summer), but my original colour is like yellowish brownish on my arms (not exposed to sun)...my features are also not "black features" such as big lips, wide noses and kinky hair,....i have normal sized lips, and stright thin nose, and alot of ppl mistaken me for other cultures....im just wondering,
as a result of the Italian colonization that happened from like 1840-1940, there must of been a mix of some sort...Can anyone tell me ancestry of Eritrea, as far back and accurate

Strickly out of curiosity: Say that I wanted to publish a book. I find a reputable publisher to print and distribute it. Purchase price is set at whatever a regular book in whatever genre usually is. On average, how is the percentage of that price broken down into? What percent goes for supplies, editor's/publisher's share, and so forth?

What percentage of the purchase price actually reaches the author's pocket? Anyone know?

Apparently books such as The Book of Secrets were criticized by those who practiced “real” science, and even the translator of the book goes so far as to “suggest that the book should be treated as light reading” . So why was this book (and those like it) so popular? And why is it still around today?

I have been reflecting on my life during this time of change. There is a goal that is with in my reach but to accheive it would mean destroying my family. Every thing I have would have to be given up. My soul mate, sons and home. Since this goal would be built on so much pain, I have opted to give it up. While it is true that I have made the only decision I could, I still mourn the loss of this goal. How do I keep from becoming bitter? When I see my family, how do I keep that nagging thought in the back of my mind silent? That thought that says remember what you could have had. How do I keep sight of the pain it would have caused and not let time dull the reason for my decision? Despite the pain it would have caused, I still wanted it so much....... It makes me incredably sad to have to give it up. It was an either or situation ---no comperamise was possible. Thoughts?????

Her name was Elizabeth Louise Goins and was in a Tennessee orphanage with her sister Jewel Goins. They later went to Muskogee, Oklahoma where they are both buried. We have been told since we didn't have a cherokee # to identify us, we have no recourse insofar as what we are entitled to as her heirs. I have a living mother and uncle and 3 cousins and for years we have been trying to find out what our rights and benefits are. Please help us in this endeavor.
