So far I think for me it might be A Clockwork Orange. What other strange ones would you recommend?

Geek Love by Katherine Dunn. A circus family deliberately induces birth defects in their offspring so that the children can work as freaks for the circus. It's a very good book, and despite the bizarre premise, quite a touching one as well.

Also Hopscotch by Julio Cortazar. The book is designed so that you don't read the chapters in order--you jump around following a list of chapter numbers. Also a great book.

At first I found James Patterson's Maximum Ride novels incredibly strange. They're good books - but I still find them a bit strange.

The Neverending Story.
I read an edition in which the two narratives were actually printed in red and green ink!
