I fail to understand why J.K. Rowling had to tell everyone Dumbledore was gay. Yes he's her creation and she can do with him as she pleases, but at the same time whatever happened to the readers ability to interpret. The joy of a book is that no matter who reads it they are each reading a slightly different story, because it's read and interpreted from their point of view. I feel like she killed it for me. What next, is she going to tell us that Ron likes to stand naked in front of his mirror or that professor Sprout smoked Gillyweed when she was a student??? I hope you get my point, I just don't see why these things have to be brought up at all. Am I the only one who thinks J.K. Rowlings should keep her mouth shut and let her readers find their own joy through their interpretation of her books?

So what ya'll think about gay dumbledore? haha I knew it and even said it before, he was to feminine, but I dunno I figured something out the first second of finding out! I dont know if I am the first to conclude this, I am admitting that I dont know but.. What do ya'll think he 'really' saw in the mirror of erised?

My opinion he saw things working differantly and he was with grindelwald, makes since, why would he lie about seeing himself holding a pair of socks?

just stand still........... WHACK!!!!! (oohh right upside the head. That had to hurt!!)

If certain religious groups start poo pooing about the latest Harry Potter news about Dumbledore being gay, I swear I will have an aneurysm!! Get a grip people. It is a fabulous book series with a wonderful message. I will be proud to have my children read it, and I still believe in god. Imagine that!

Poems are fresh
Like falling rain
That falls in the sewer
So it’s not really fresh
But poems are like that.

Poems make people happy
And they can even smile
So that makes it all
Worth –

While I was sitting at home
On a cold, hot day
I saw a bird flying
Around
But it actually looked more like a bat
So I saw a bat flying around
Around
Outside on a cold, hot day

Poems make me feel special-feeling
Like a child at the Special Olympics
But that’s really a bad thing to say
Just like pizza is bad
For your heart

Flowers are like poetry
In that they are flowery
And flower-full
And flower-some
And they make me want to buy some Armani
Clothes
And close the poem

Just – kidding
Poems are like the circus
That are clowny
But they’re not really clowny
But poems are like that.

What are your thoughts on LOVE in regards to distance and time apart? I'm talking about real, deep, pure love....... not the superficial love that many engage in.

Have recently been experimenting with night time photography with long exposures (around 30 second shutter speed). Have found if i have the aperature set to F2, the photograph produced is vibrant and colourful! However, if the aperature is set to F16, the image is darker and red! I understand that F16 has a smaller iris/aperture, so less light gets to the sensor, making it darker, but why the redness? Is this something to do with light bending like redshift??????

...And if so...I'm confused about the "prayer in school" and "prayers before meetings" issue. If a silent prayer is as "effective" as a verbal one, then it seems to me people can pray whenever they want to using a silent prayer in their own mind, and nobody can stop them...so they "already" have the right to prayer whenever...or is a "group" prayer more effective than a "singular" one?
Am I right about this? Or is there a flaw in my logical conclusion of the facts? If a "group" or "verbal" prayer is just as "effective" as a silent one, why not just do silent ones whenever you want? In class, during meetings....whatever?

I've already read or at least know of these greats:
1984 by George Orwell
Animal Farm by George Orwell
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
Lord of the Flies by William Golding
The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood
The Giver by Lois Lowry
Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry
Messenger by Lois Lowry

So what other dystopian literature would you suggest reading?
