Where they real? Like do you think Shakespeare COMPLETLY made it up or do you think there is some truth in the story?

it is based on a poem called romeus and juliet by another renasance poet . While the poem was nicer to there plight , shakespeare changed it to be a lot more harsher

Does it matter if it is pure fiction? It is the most moving love story of all time. Forget Love Story this is the real thing. I fell in love with my first girlfriend watching it.

It is a work of fiction, probably based on events that happened to several different people. Most fiction is based loosely on real events but not any specific people.
