with no buildings, no clothes, no technology, no books or libraries... nothing of our great civilizations or understanding but what resides in our memories.

How would things play out?

Would chaos and anarchy ensue, as what-seemed-to-be civilized people attempts to look out for themselves and their kin... destroying natures reserves in the hopes of having a sufficient supply for themselves... while killing and pillaging what others have.

Or would people come together and try to rebuild?

How long would it take to rebuild, do you think? Would we rebuild from our knowledge technology and architecture... and from wisdom our society... or would we rebuild originally as too much time passes to remember, making all the same mistakes?

I'm britissh, middleaged and learned nothing about slavery. It seems to me it was more opportunistic than anything else. Those responsible didn't go looking for black people to inslave. I suspect if they had gone to china and could have done the same thing they would have.

Trying to paint a rubber latex mask. Spray paint and standard acrylics cause cracking/chipping when the mask is stretched. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Human beings are not improving toward goodness but toward destruction. Humans changed from using stone tools to nukes.

To be honest I'm not really into dancing but my friends are and at my age (20s) the dance scene is a MUST if you're hanging out with the other gender. I think it would be cool to actually be GOOD, but since I don't see myself ever having time for serious lessons I am content to be merely decent. Unfortunately I have some work to do before I get there.

I have been called a "bad" dancer by one girl and a "funny" dancer by another (and even that's probably a nice way of saying you're a bad dancer to somebody you're seeing). As you can imagine that's pretty paralyzing socially and makes me not want to get out there and even try.

I want to know:

(1) What are some beginner's mistakes I should try to avoid?
(2) What, generally, does "acceptable" dancing look like when the music is usually 80s or hip-hop?
(3) Outside of taking classes or buying videos, where can I go to see specifically how to dance?

If possible please try to avoid recommending expensive paid sites and classes and such

life itself is beyond human control. Every moment is a bonus. Attempting to ensure comforts and conveniences of the physical body and have an illusion of pleasure, satisfaction or happiness, the element of the uncontrollable nature of life itself is forgotton or at least temporarily set aside, since lingering on that would entail total apathy and inaction. Thus all actions and activities are subject to non-control of life. by chandrasekharan k

i awoke in a scarlet haze
adrenaline an icy rush through my veins
a swiftly moving figure cloaked in black
moved through my window; paused and looked back
"one more night, my love, you will be mine"
said his thoughts to my thoughts, vague, undefined.
i slept. the sun rose, hurting my head.
little did i know that i was becoming undead
the day was quite tiring; i was distant, distracted
when somone spoke to me i barely reated
an ephimereal fog had clouded my vision
like the name on a headstone of a corpse which had risen
night fell. my candle was burning out quickly
my face in the mirror was pale, wan and sickly
the flame sputtered out and i was filled with this yearning
for that which was lost, for rejoining, returning
from the depths of my soul i lay screaming his name
time stopped.the world stilled. he heard, and he came.
i threw open the window and let darkness in
sealing my doom and rejoicing in sin
swift exhilaration and unbearably sweet pangs

My guesses, in order of likelihood:

1. East Asian Crisis: China vs. India or India vs. Pakistan, with Japan soon joining in.

2. Middle Eastern Disaster: US, Europe, and Israel vs. Iran, leading to a very weird situation in which Arabs feel torn between religious affinity with the Persians and ethnic nationalism.

3. China vs. Russia, after China becomes aggressive.
