This has everything to do with evidence of the divine. We are supposed to have faith, not a rational knowledge backed by evidence or logic. Had God placed a species as specific as human life elsewhere, where no possibility exists of direct heritage to Earths humans, then that would constitute evidence of Gods intervention and creation. Barren planets, or planets of completely new life, neither provide reasons to believe God was or wasnt involved.

The truth is that we don't know if there is life in those other planets, but even if we assume that there isn't, the Bible gives the reason for their existence.
If you read the stories of Creation in Genesis with the proper background, you could see that the purpose of the Universe is to be a temple where man can worship God. In order to instill in man his nothingness in comparison with God's greatness, God places man in a small garden in a seemingly infinite Universe. See what Pope Benedict XVI writes: The sabbath is the sign of the covenant between God and man; it sums up the inward essence of
the covenant. . . . [Creation exists to be a place for the covenant that God wants to make with man.
The goal of creation is the covenant, the love story of God and man. . . . If creation is meant to be a space
for the covenant, the place where God and man meet one another, then it must be thought of as a space
for worship. . . . Now if worship, rightly understood, is the soul of the covenant, then it not only saves
mankind but is also meant to draw the whole of reality into communion with God.”
One can draw a similar conclusion from St. Paul's writings to the Romans. For Paul claims that the unbelievers should have come to know God by meditating on creation, thus assuming that part of the purpose of Creation was to lead man to God. Now what kind of material being could ever represent God? None really, but the bigger and more mysterious it is the better it will work.
"The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."

First off, we have yet to find a planet anywhere that has the gravity and atmosphere even close to Earth's. If you had Earth's atmosphere on Jupiter the gravity of such a massive (not to mention being extremely hot) planet would squish your body down into singular atoms.
I guess physics, chemistry and astronomy aren't your areas of expertise, are they?
Albert Einstien once said that the more he knew and understood of our universe, the more he was convinced that God made it. Seems like a dicotomy, but it isn't really.

Are you are willing to think beyond your feelings, like astrophysics? Then perhaps read "The Fingerprint of God" by Hugh Ross. He looks at the science behind maintaining a stable life bearing planet with stable gravity and magnetic fields and atmosphere, etc. in order to sustain life. We take it all for granted because it's always been there in ourl ife time (and if it weren't we wouldn't be having this discussion.
However, it takes a universe to support one tiny blue green planet and Hugh Ross will give you all the scientific reasons why.God created it all--everything it would take for you to be able to live and ask such mind blowing questions.

That is God's business, not ours.We are not to question why God has created all the other Stars and Planets in the Universe. God's ways are not our ways. Our job is to live a good life and eventually be with God one day in Paradise where we will know everything He wants us to know.

What planets? We have only yet been to the moon which is our own settlelight. Who know what is there? USA and NASA are not the most honest people. We may find other planets yet where other forms of life are possible.

Religions are very creative composers of the imagined details. Heaven and hell are what you may call planets. There are vivid descriptions by some of what's going on there. I suggest you leave it alone until science gives us an answer. To speculate makes for good fiction story writing, but it isn't gonna give you answers.

Venus is claimed by some to be a home for an evolution of man which is in a finer level of energy. So, we ought not presume there are not evolutions besides our own.

p.s. C. S. Lewis has based some "Perelandra" novels on this general premise, as well as "The Great Divorce," a great novella.
