Human beings are not improving toward goodness but toward destruction. Humans changed from using stone tools to nukes.

I understand where you are coming from and it can be scary at times. We are an unusual species that has come such a long way from where we began. Ultimately, it is in ALL of our hands to make a difference. ( Kind of like a smile can be contagious. ) Fear can influence and affect decisions and all aspects of life and fear has many forms. ( anger, hate,....) I was told in college that all decisions ultimately resort back to fear and greed. Taking this into perspective can be mind boggling, especially if you are not apt to open your mind completely. Fear, hate, anger will lead to destruction. I can't think of anything good stemming from it. Hope, faith in each other, trust, goodness often seem so far away but if you open your mind and search for the goodness in the world, it will be there. Sometimes you don't have to look far and sometimes you have to search every nook and cranny, but it's there!! Stop watching the news, reading your news papers, and looking at the obvious negativity's surrounding all of us and put your energy into searching for the good. You have a choice. We all do!!! Don't focus on what could be, focus on what IS. It has to start somewhere.

Well,Satan is in control at the moment.God and the devil had a conversation, and the devil said that people believe in God only when life is good for them. When things turn bad, they cease to believe in God.God,therefore, allowed the devil one century in which to exercise an extended power over the world, and the devil chose the twentieth century.Today, as we can see all around us,everyone is dissatisfied, they cannot abide each other.Examples are the number of divorces ,and abortions.Although the devil's 100 years have passed he still has a hold on us which we cannot let go.It is not hard to work out where we are going.

We are running out of time.Mary said to the children of Fatima in 1916 God wishes to establish in the world, the devotion to my immaculate heart. [this will upset some Christians who refuse to believe in apparitions]If people do as i ask, many souls will be converted and there will be peace.
When you shall see a night illuminated by an unknown light ,know that this is the great sign from God that the chastisement of the world for its many transgressions is at hand, through war, famine, persecution of the Church and of the Holy Father. The punishment is inevitable because we cannot expect the conversion of the entire world. The chastisement can be mitigated by prayers and penance It cannot be suppressed.

EDIT...You don't have to be a religious person to accept the possibility of apparitions. All you need is an open mind, which some Christians unfortunately have not. They have become bigoted self centered people who are trapped in their Bibles.
and refuse to look at things that have happened recently. The Bible is redundant ,and they are wasting time reading it when they should be praying for the conversion of the world. These apparitions have been well recorded, documented, authenticated and thoroughly investigated to dismiss as fantasy or misguided spiritual fervour.Unfortunately most Christians don't understand the roll of Mary here on earth and in Heaven. To them she is not very important and they can't understand why Catholics put her on a higher level. All i ask is will you just accept the possibility of apparitions ,no matter how remote. After all Christians believe in a God they have never seen.

You will probably come to the conclusion that what i have written is a load of rubbish. I will not be surprised. You are entitled to your opinion.I expect to get many "thumbs down"on this one !

I feel that the post Industrial revolution and the rapid growth , around the world ( particularly in the developed countries) led to a rapid toxification of the world , both physically and mentally.Money and sustained growth drove the countries to crazy levels.
Now , the scenario is changing. Information technology has changed the world forever. World has come together and has shrunk.

Detoxification of the world has started earnestly. Spirituality is replacing religion. Emission control and greening of the planet is on all over. Awareness of fellowship amognst the world citizens is spreading.

Humanity has changed its course towards better world. No worry at all. This detoxification is painful at times but is a necessary eveil.

The attitude that we're being self-destructive with technology to the extent it's not worth it is becoming all too popular on this forum. We're improving. We're making progress. There will always be people that will take advantage of every good thing and turn it into a 'nuke'. We're learning how to not allow evil to take advantage. There were times that we didn't have that power in our arsenal, and I think that power - however raw - is constantly improving.

More technology, more control over nature and matter, including man himself, more material prosperity.

Due to ignorance of inner child, moral compass, even God, with the new empowerments, an increased chance for various global control/war.

Your question's framing fairly well described the dynamic.

Would suggest "The Soulless One," Mark Prophet, "The Path of Virtue," Jonathan Murro, and "Man, Master of His Destiny," O. M. Aivanhov, as recent additions to the world's ethical literature.

cordially,

We really can't change who we are, what we are is advanced cavemen with very big clubs. We need to develop the technology to leave this planet and travel among the stars. I think that if we spread out,and found new places to live we could prevail. If we stay, we will overpopulate the earth and start wars over energy shortages. Harmony will come through technological innovation...let us hope that evolution has taught us to use our brains
