IMO serhell has the right answer: it was Giotto.
"One of the first uses of perspective was in Giotto’s ‘Jesus Before the Caïf’ (Fig. 2A), more that 100 years before Brunelleschi’s perspectival demonstrations galvanized the widespread use of convergent perspective of the Renaissance proper."
"Though largely restored, the decoration displays clearly Giotto's capabilities in chiaroscuro and his study of perspective in the ancient buildings. Giotto's compositions later influenced Masaccio's Cappella Brancacci."

Several have been credited, but the artist usually associated with it is Masaccio, almost concurrent to Brunelleschi. Giotto has also been mentioned in some texts.

Brunelleschi was actually the first, though he was an architect and not a traditional visual artist.
Masacio's "Trinity" is considered to be the first western perspective painting, completed in the 14th century.

You already know the answer so basically you're just looking to have folk jump through hoops {search wikipedia} for you?
Try this:
"What was the first criticism made of Oppenheim's "fur-lined teacup"?"

sareee seems to have the correct answer, i looked him up in the search box upper right and that seems to be the case.
if perspective drawing was done before his time, i haven't found a record of who would've done it or even any examples of it.
