I love writing my own fiction or fantasy stories but lately has not been good.

maybe 4 or 5 years ago, I began writing a story about a lady warrior who fought monsters but it got really old even though I was writing it for years and it was my longest written story. I needed something new, other than just one objective of fighting monsters, something a reader will not expect.

I was also writting a humorous story about a gay vampire but humor just isn't my thing.

I need to write something serious, and very detailed but maybe with a touch of fantasy elements.

I was constructing one story about a girl who somehow falls prisoner to another world that loves to play tricks on the living person inhabiting its land.

then my imagination got really wild when I thought up her meeting a man that had been living there for many years and had lost all emotion, and how the world would make them see illusions and other wacky stuff.

What do you suggest I do to keep my intrest in these?

I'm still working out the details of a story, for which I only have the characters and initial situations. So far I have (as short descriptions) a washed-up, perpetually inebriated ex-rocker rooming with a sensitive, outgoing albino lad with a habit of singing into his hairbrush. They're looking for a bassist for their band

Your job? Fill in the missing slot with a character. I already have some vague ideas about what the guy's like, but I'm really looking for input. I'm not going to steal your ideas or whatnot, and I'm not some hopeless amateur writer who has no idea how to make a story. I'm really just looking to see how creative y'all can be. Now on your marks, get set, think!

If your answer is "yes" to one but not the others, why? If the act of killing is o.k. for some living creatures, but not for others, what are the differences between the living beings that make killing more or less acceptable?

It's just not a natural talent of mine. Is playing an instrument like guitar something that is better done by people who have 'knacks' for it?

I dunno it just seems like musicians play so effortlessly like it was no problem for them. For me it's more of a struggle! I feel a little discouraged...

It is boring to use hyphens. -------------------------
Wavy hyphens are a little prettier ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Equal signs make a nice bold line =========================
But so does a line of lower case “L”s lllllllllllllllllllllllll
I am asking this question ‘cause many heads are better than one; Does anyone else have any good ideas?

I am speaking about a real book, NOT the silly ones that we make up.
If you can remember the author, great.
My example:
FRENCHMEN, DESIRE, GOOD CHILDREN and OTHER STREETS OF NEW ORLEANS by John Chase
It's all about how the streets in New Orleans got their names. I found it very interesting. The title made me do a double-take when I first saw it at Marshall's Book Store. This was back in the 1960s.

I know that Dwight Eisenhower and Douglas Macarthur had a very troubled relationship. I have been unable to find out the nature and source of their problems.

My husband said that he has heard of two things which contributed to their feud. The first was that Mac felt that Ike got too much attention for the victory in Europe. Mac apparently felt cheated of attention, as he felt he fought a much harder war because of the nature of the fighting in the Pacific (i.e. small pieces of land, more hand-to-hand combat, difficulty of finding staging areas for launching assaults, etc...) The second was that Mac had an innate distrust of politicians, and he felt Ike was betraying his military roots by eyeing the White House. Mac felt that military men should be just that, military men, and leave the politics to politicians, rather than switching over half way through a career.

Are these true? Can you please shed some light on the nature of their quarrel with one another?

Thank you.
