It is boring to use hyphens. -------------------------
Wavy hyphens are a little prettier ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Equal signs make a nice bold line =========================
But so does a line of lower case “L”s lllllllllllllllllllllllll
I am asking this question ‘cause many heads are better than one; Does anyone else have any good ideas?

All good answers.
But, when I tried the Alt plus the numbers thing, all it did was make the computer hiccup; quite badly.
How does that work?
The only way I could get the little graphic was to copy then paste it (Ctrl C then Ctrl V).
Putting it up to a vote now.
