I'm very curious about the special cosmetic "paints" that "Body Art" artists use to paint on people faces and body.

What is the name of that special cosmetic "paints"?

And

Where can I buy them? (Online is ok)

Thank you for any of your help.

I've always thought that English-speakers have it easy: our greatest writer wrote plays, so you can experience Shakespeare just by sitting in front of the telly. Spaniards and Spanish-speakers, on the other hand, who wanted to experience the greatest work in their language, would have to get a copy of Don Quixote and put in the effort of reading 400 year-old prose. What percentage do or have done so? Is Cervantes taught in school?

I can understand if you're a commercial photographer and you have an assignment you have to fulfill to expect specifications, but for creative and artisitic photography, why are so many digital photographers so obsessed over the most minute tech details. Most artists--including photographers--do their best work by exploiting accidents or 'mistakes.' For example, photographers will get obsessed over reducing noise when 'noise' can be used as a creative artifact--if you're so hung up about getting it 'right,' I'd think you're limiting your chances of doing really original work. Pros and cons to this view?

Can an LCD computer monitor be calibrated? I had a Spyder Pro2 and went through the whole process three times. Each time, everything turned a not so lovely shade of blue. I gave up and sold the Spyder on eBay. I have since read that you can't really calibrate an LCD monitor.

What's your experience with this?

Thanks.

I've often considered the notion, I think I'd like it - but there might be some reason or another that a person with MPD might want to avoid such a career choice. I can't think of one, though - I mean who better to play a character than someone who literally _becomes_ the character? I'm on the mild side compared to most dissociatives - we're very much under control - so I think I could do it. But should I?

is it italian ,Shakespearean or something else?

Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so ;
For those, whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow,
Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleep, which but thy picture[s] be,
Much pleasure, then from thee much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones, and soul's delivery.
Thou'rt slave to Fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell,
And poppy, or charms can make us sleep as well,
And better than thy stroke ; why swell'st thou then ?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally,
And Death shall be no more ; Death, thou shalt die.

This is not a 'snobbish' question. Just looking for some informed opinion. I consider myself above average in detecting the quality of a writer's style--maybe because I had a job for two years micro-analyzing the work of writers like V. Woolf, J. Baldwin, E.B. White, Joan Didion: in other words, writers who are considered masters of prose. I also learned a lot from my family who were naturally gifted as writers. Question is--and it doesn't matter if you think the writers I've cited are masters of style--is the audience for 'quality' writing diminishing? Are books like Hannibal and DaVinci Code--albeit they have good stories--the prototypes for what will be considered 'good' writing by most people? Is 'quality writing' going the way of theatre as an art form? There's a line from a Paul Simon song "Is the Theatre Really Dead?" I'd say it basically it. What about literary writing? Is it appreciated outside of a few literature professors who specialize in the stuff?

I need a good idea for a joke to put in a short comic strip that's about Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. If any of you have read it you know it's not very exciting so it's hard to find anything that I can put in my comic. Even if you haven't read it if you have some extra time and could look on the web for me that would be fantastic. Thanks in advance!

TITLE: First Light

In early morning
I forget I'm in this world
with crooked chiefs
who make federal deals.

In the first light
I remember who rewards me for living,
not bosses
but singing birds and blue sky.

I know I can bathe and stretch,
make jewelry and love
the witch and wise woman
living inside, needing to be silenced
and put at rest for work's long day.

In the first light
I offer cornmeal
and tobacco.
I say hello to those who came before me,
and to birds
under the eaves,
and budding plants.

I know the old ones are here
And every morning I remember the song
about how buffalo left through a hole in the sky
and how the grandmothers look out from those holes watching over us
from there and from there.
