You are absolutely right every creation is a universe in itself .Whatever we see is the that is ourselves .We still hold on that the whole world must be like ourselves and we see everything in our terms .When the self is removed of all its coverings the pure soul is manifested and that will help to see the self in all and the lost equllibrium is achieved.

A "reflection" requires something to be reflected upon, therefore, we've all experienced something more than a mere reflection. Why hold onto something that you've done? Yes, the past makes the present you but you've still got the future which cannot be allowed to be affected by what's been.
And astro's right, there is only God

Its true that we see ourselves in others, we see the things we don`t like to acknowledge and things we like about our selves. Going a bit deeper though, if we allow ourselves to look past the surface of our reflection and look deeper than we normally would then we surely will see the spirit that dwells within and brings us all we need in the resurrection? This is what we have to hold onto, and nothing else matters.

We can only hold on to our mirror reflection. The good or the bad.We must learn from our mistakes to be able to walk forward.Every individual person on this Earth. Can put ideas and knowledge forward into new topics, which fill all our live experiences.Fresh input to help others, which in reflection helps ourselves too. This is the way humans were designed.

It is only in letting go that we find ourselves. We see ourselves in the reflection. Today was an illusion but it was a beautiful illusion, like smoke rings and soap bubbles. Today is lost in the perpetual now but I have a memory of delight from it. All things remembered are what we keep. What we cling too we loose. We are patterns of shadow and light. If one has no shadow then they illuminate all around them and bring higher contrast for more beauty. Those too consumed by shadow consider the memories a judgment. Those like us find them to be a blessing.
Love one another.

Hi Rena,
Good question! Since all our experiences are derived from one's actions, practice, perception, enjoyment and suffering. Be it an experimental knowledge as in the index of skill and wisdom. All the things in life you have undergone and enjoyed, the spiritual exercise of the mind included on it. In other words the sum total of such knowledge in the life of an individual are indeed the total reflection of ourselves. Then i believe the only way to hold on is to believe in God.
Thank you for the question and God bless!

I think we see others as well, in fact most of what we see in others is the other, only a fraction reflects self. What to hold on to? It could be many things. I hold onto a rather simple life but a content one, and all that and whom I love in it.
PS. I bet you already know we see others...

The small restricted you (not personal) can only see the small and restricted.
What you have to hold on to is your greatness......
There is no thing to be found by playing small...in settling for a life less than you are capable of living...Hold on to your aspirations.
Cheers
