Total world war is within just a few months from now. Iran and the USA in nuclear conflict. The Islamic extremists are hell-bent on the destruction of civilization unless they get their way. They have been at war for thousands of years. Nothing we can do will change that. President Bush should understand that. We cannot democrotize savages. They will not rest until all of us have converted to Islam (unrealistic) or had our heads cut off (not likely this year).

I see hope when people who are cynical realists like myself change their mind about something, if even for an instant. We all want to believe that the world will get better and be filled with rainbows and puppies, however everything in our lives tells us differently. So I find hope in that one moment where I disregard all that and believe that people and the world can change.

I only see hope that lies in what is known as "the little people." Gathering together for a cause has worked before, and still works in some counties & states, US; but not on the fed level yet. I guess a whole-hearted grass roots movement has to get going---something.

In not being serious

Everyone is so serious about having this, or having that, being this person, looking here, looking there, worrying, analysing, wishing this would happen, or that would not.
What he did, what she didn't do, this all takes one away from peace in the heart.

Life is the great letting go.

Most people fear doing the very thing which would free them.

I see the hope in the sincerity of the kids but the problem is that the sincerity is lost when they end as politicians.
